Welcome everyone.

First off, Happy Halloween.

Second, welcome to the new and improved Theundergroundscene.net, now in version 3.0!

When Theundergroundscene.net was first concieved, back in 1999, the point was to create a one-stop place where everyone in the scene could come together and discuss, enjoy, and argue over the music we all love. When the site first hit the 'net in 2001, however, I didn't have the programming ability to even fanthom how that was possible. Four years later, and four months worth of doing nothing but programming, basically, I think I have got us just about to that point.

But I'm not the only one here. There's the staff, who have been more supportive, and have given countless hours of their lives to make this site what it is today. Without the people who work here, I would never have had the drive to do all of this.

And of course there's all of you. The visitors are the life-blood of the this site, and we've realized that. This is why we have created and expanded a brand new members section. For the first time here at Theundergroundscene.net we let the visitors comment on album reviews, news posts, and interviews, in addition to accessing the forums as usual. You can also add friends and bands and customize your profile at will.

And the bands we support, we offer you just that. Create profiles, connect with your fans, and upload up to 5 mp3's for the TUGS.net radio, where visitors can sample your music at will. Combined with the classic 'zine aspect of the site, our coverage of your band will be crosslinked with your profile seamlessly. Let us take care all the hard stuff, we're good like that.
