Frankly, I dont see what people have against bands labeled metalcore on here. In all seriousness, whats wrong with bands like Lamb of God, KsE, Unearth, Shadows Fall and the like?

i dont enjoy any of those bands but i dont wish them any harm either i think its that most people here have this self image thats really dependant on music or a genre of music and somehow they really fear any change or new opinion that threatens what they try to convince themselves is a lifestyle when its really just music..does that make any sense at all?

That makes perfect sense. It's something I've always thrown around in my head but never been able to correctly articulate. I disagree with your aversion to "inbreeding" (hahaha) however. I think the blending of genres is quite necessary. Hell, where would music even be if it wasn't for it? Metal certainly wouldn't exist at all.
