I thought the area around Valentines was definetly shitty and all but nothing beats Birmingham (except for the place we played in Lafayette, Louisianna). In Birmingham you could hear constant gun fire, all the store clerks we behind bullet proof glass, Taco Bells windows were smashed out as they were doing business... I could go on but we'll just leave it as Birmingham beats Albany in the shithole department any day of the week!!!
