Before I go and say what my plans are I want to say that, since I started notcommon in 2000 (my first show a few months later in 2001) I have seen a million one show only promoters, a million scene sites, a million record labels and a million bands come and go. If I stopped booking shows, then whoever tried to "carry the torch" or whatever, would most likely stop after 1 or 2 poorly attended shows. I am good at promoting shows, and if you disagree you are stupid and wrong.

I don't know how NotCommon was never a real record label, we had distribution in stores, online, other record labels and press in zines, radio and TV. What would have made us a real record label? Like Josh Martin said, but none of you even read because you are ignorant, none of the bands were tied into a contract, but all wanted to keep working with me. I know some of the bands had been approached by other labels, including Century Media in one case, but stuck with me. I am not impressed with Rusted Angel's weak attempt at bashing me or my label.

NotCommon is something I do for myself, always was. I book shows I want to see, I release albums I want to hear. I want the shows to have good attendance, so I can do more at the club, or get the band back. I have high hopes for the "scene" in Boston and I think I do alot to help it along. If you don't think so, then good. You are the element I don't want to work with. There are plenty of alternatives for the close minded people who think I am close minded for not booking shows to be popular. This isn't a fucking democracy, it's me. I won't book some band I don't like because a bunch of dickheads who never support other shows think I should. Use your brain.

My shows might have slowed down this summer, but that is because there have been so many other shows and colleges being out. Impaled @ the middle east had well over 100 people, the fest had 200 each day, Cephalic Carnage had 160+, Bongzilla had 80+, Disengaged cd release @ the middle east sold out, the majority of choppin block shows had 50 people, and plenty of my other shows have done well.

Sabbat will sell out in September, as will Total Fucking Destruction in October.

I know that if I stopped booking shows that things would continue without me, but it wouldn't be the same (good or bad is a matter of opinion). I care about what happens, obviously I don't see eye to eye with alot of you people, but I don't see any of you doing shit so fuck off.

My next show is awesome, compare it to my last show (leukorrhea and demized @ deedees) and then tell me how close minded I am about my metal shows. I exclude metalcore bands, obviously I am bringing the scene down with that attitude.

I am happy that those of you who hate me do, and am happy to be friends with the rest of you guys/girls.
