Right, attacking one country that was already a dictatorship and replacing with a more liberal government in the name of "freedom" ( and indirectly ensuring lower oil prices for millions ) is certainly "inflicting suffering on a massive scale". I am sure Josef Stalin, Vlad Dracul, and Pope Gregory IX would cringe at the sheer horror of such an idea.

The idea is to find competent individuals to work with, wherever they may be. Getting away from an asskissing convention of lousy bands and their imbecile fans, wherever they may be, is also a plus. This is not an issue of nationalistic pride, a concept that is beneath me; and anyway, I would be writing Polish BM based in the USA at the moment, to use your logic ( that is, if you were capable of knowing the entire situation before making up "facts" ).

Another shining example of how egalitarian life metal fans always prefer to embark on a crusade against "elitism" from behind their computers, than actually cooperate ( or try to cooperate ) with others to create something of merit. Of course this would involve putting their egos aside in favor of devotion to something greater than themselves, and everyone knows that the egalitarian life metal fan values nothing more than his ego ( well, aside from his goth girlfriend he writes love letters to, and his Everquest ranking ).
