well, it's been many, many years since I first saw a bunch of 15-year-old kids

jumping around on stage, calling one of their friends or brothers) from acephalus (i think) and others, and then having everyone in the pit, lead by adam, run around punching each other...

to a bunch of 19-year-old kids who jump around on stage, calling people to come up and sing along with them, and then having everyone in the pit, lead by adam, run around punching each other...

however, now, they have one of the best CDs of 2004 under thier belts.

these are the facts as far as I know
if they are wrong, post corrections please

they have gone through a lot of different member over the years, but the "core" members of
Adam (vocals) and

Al (guitar)

have kept the band going.

bassplayers: at some point, they lost their original bass player (max) to trauma concept.

Zak came in for a year or 2. he brought in some of the craziest sounding bass lines ever. stuff that I hear a lot of other bands copying from.

now, he's gone and Max (currently with burn in silence) is back.

drummers: Jay was the original drummer

when I heard that he left the band, I was shocked. I figured that they would never find someone that could fill his shoes... I was expecially surprised when like a day later, in walks Darren:

he is a berkeley trained drumming machine from hell.

as for guitarists, I know at one point they had 2 of them... but that's all I know. Actually, our own RustedAngel was going to play second guitar for them, but mass has 2 marlboro____s.

anyhow, for such young kids, they have toured in Europe and Japan! and influenced a boat load of bands out there. Their new CD definitely is killer and besides that, they have 3 other releases (2 CD & 1 7"). Their current line up is sort of going in a couple different directions.
Zak is out, Max is back in.
Max (playing for burn in silence) brought Al into BIS with him (proof http://www.zeroflesh.com/gallery/albums/promo/BIS/bispro5.jpg)
Darren is drumming for pillory and doing other studio projects.
it was rumored and feared that goratory would break up and go into the history of New England, but it just looks like they've slowed down a bit after all the touring since the release of the new CD.

oh, sorry brianBDM, the mud wrestling CD release of the century didn't happen...
