Under doctor's recommendation, SLAYER has had to cancel four dates on its
U.S. Jagermeister Music Tour. The cancelled dates are the tour's kick-off,
Friday, October 29 in Springfield, MO, Saturday, October 30 in Des Moines,
IA, Tuesday, November 9 in Belle Vernon (Pittsburgh), PA, and Friday,
November 26 in Tampa, FL.

Having just completed co-headlining the 20-date, sold-out "Unholy Alliance"
European tour with Slipknot, Slayer's vocalist/bassist Tom Araya was taken
to the hospital last Wednesday in Holland immediately following the band's
performance. The doctors there diagnosed Araya with vocal fatigue, and
directed that he completely rest his voice - no singing, no talking - for at
least a week. In addition, the doctors cautioned Araya to not sing more
than four consecutive nights, or he could risk doing irreparable damage to
his vocal cords. Hence, the cancellation of the Belle Vernon and Tampa
dates.

Araya and his Slayer bandmates - Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman/guitars and
drummer Dave Lombardo - are confident that staying true to the schedule of
no more than four consecutive shows will eliminate the possibility of any
other dates being cancelled on the Jagermeister tour.

The Slayer-headlined Jagermeister Music Tour will now kick off on Halloween,
Sunday, October 31 in St. Louis at The Pageant (Mastadon and Killswitch
Engage support). The updated Slayer/Jagermeister tour is as follows:
