i agree with you. before i met joe, i saw alot of his fights with people on this board and didn't know if he would be a good guy, but he is. he does a lot of good for bands around here. he has put my band on a lot of his shows, despite the fact that we aren't as heavy as anyone else on the bill or a fan favorite with the extreme metal crowds. he's probably going to hate reading about us saying he is a nice guy though.

I don't understand why people hate Eric so much... I have always got along with him. Every time I have seen them play they were tight and sounded good... I prefer other styles of metal to old school thrash but I still dig it. I do think alot of people were jealous CSDO opened for the Cannibal Corpse show...

youd be jealous too if you had a dm band that deserved to be on the show more than a thrash band who has remained relatively inactive for 15 years.

I have a black death metal band called Hell's Infinite 6 that would have loved to play but I took no part in slandering CSDO because they got the show... He stepped up and sold tickets for it, cheers to them...

i didnt slander them either. hell, i dont mind their music (cept for the horrid vocals). it was when he started flapping his mouth about how he can pack a club and how much hes done for the scene (totally false statements) that people were getting really pissed.

i guess there will always be people in the scene who brag and display their large egos like a giant malignant tumor on the face of the hottest girl ever. people spend too much time acting like groupies, talking about what bands they've hung out with. anytime a local band gets an opening slot on a good show, i try to feel happy for them, unless it's the same band that keeps getting opening slots instead of spreading them around to other bands. it would be nice for my band to open a big show sometime, but it is nothing i am overly concerned about. we will play with anyone, even crappy nu metal bands (although i would prefer not to). i have fun playing with the more extreme bands, even though they are heavier than us. i loved death metal, doom and grind for a long time and still listen to it, especially doom. those bands are fun to play with. i'd like to think the guys in my band and i are cool with pretty much everyone on this board. i like the diverse cross section of bands who post here. i'm really blabbing on and on about nothing right now, so i am going to shut up and drink beer and listen to rush for a while before dinner.

I'm not sure what he said but I know he has helped book some killer shows in Massachusetts like the times Destruction, Kreator, King Diamond have made appearances there. I even helped him nail the fucking stage together in Salisbury for when Destruction played. Oh yeah come to think of it Dying Fetus, Cephalic Carnage and a bunch of others played these shows (that he helped book and promote) as well...

honestly, i can only only think of about 3 shows in the past 3 years that he has booked with great touring bands, and theyve been at subpar venues. and not to mention the turnouts were less than spectacular, saying something about the promotion as well.

ok, did any of you ever think that eric is just "saying shit" or "starting shit" just to spark contiversy and get people to go to shows?

MY OLD BAND PLAYED THAT VERY SHOW! and we did promote that show, in fact we had to sell 30 tickets and actually sold 45.
it wasnt just him that did all the promoting. and anyone can book a show. you just call the bands label,or get in touch with the band via email or a message board and set it up. as simple as that. but you have the responsibility of paying the band. so if you dont promote you have to pay the band out of your pocket!!!!
either way, that whole thing was gay, and fuck it im officially out of the whole thing. its just a wast of time really.
the amount of time spent on this could have gone in to anyone of your bands as we speak. so drop this crap and give me some \m/
