Got woken up at 6:30am by my neighbor. It seems that sometime before 3am, my water heater burst. It flooded the unit below my unit... and then flooded the unit below that. The girlfriend of the owner of the bottom unit noticed at 3am and was trying to save things. She didn't get in touch with the owner until after 6am. So it was flooding for 3hrs. I feel terrible. I wish she's run around at 3am banging on all th doors.
Looks like it's going to be $4,000-$10,000 worth of work at this point. It's giving me the motivation to start cleaning and tossing things. I tossed 3 (working) vacuums and a (working) carpet cleaner. Plus a bunch of boxes.
