There is no way in hell I'm missing this.

I was supposed to play at a fest with Onslaught when I was in Seax. Their label made them pull out.

I was gonna see Artillery in Hollywood last summer. Visa issues prevented them from coming.

So pretty much two bands I missed last year on the same show. Hell yeah!

inb4 shutup fagget, "Cool story, bro" and whatever internet cliches people like to use these days.

Between this, King Diamond, Judas Priest, X Japan and the rumors of a Manilla Road tour? October is going to be a busy month for 80's metal bands in the Northeast.

NY -> NJ -> MA -> NH -> IL -> NY -> NJ -> VA -> CT -> MI -> WI....Seriously has this promoter looked at a fucking map of the US? Will be going to the VA show I guess.

Backed. All I can say is, the bands will definitely be spending an obscene amount of money on gas.

Manilla Road, you say? I'll be keeping an eye out for that!

Someone's losing a buch of money on that CT gig.

And their tour van. And probably most of their gear.

I'd be surprised if this tour doesn't get cancelled. I hope it does.

ONSLAUGHT sucked after Power From Hell.

toggletoggle post by ssds at Jul 10,2014 3:37pm
In Search of Sanity is a great album, fuck all of y'all.

But yeah, this tour is retarded.

Would've been smarter to do ten big shows, than a million small shows which make no sense and will get 50 people each.

toggletoggle post by HookedonMetal at Jul 10,2014 3:45pm
Onslaught + Steve Grimmett = Awesome

Nuff said.

toggletoggle post by ssds at Jul 10,2014 4:16pm
It's worth noting that, other than two US shows in 2012(MDF, and a one-off headline show in NYC) that this will be Artillery's first EVER tour in the states.

And considering how much of a bomb we're all expecting it to be, it may very well be their last. So i'm going to try and make both the NH and MA shows.

tonight's fine, rev. the NH cancellation was a matter of an issue w/ the venue.

toggletoggle post by HookedonMetal at Oct 24,2014 12:06pm
So will I be seeing you tonight then Tim?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 24,2014 12:53pm
I sent the middle east and ravage a message about shooting it. If I hear back positively, I will shoot. If not. home I go.

toggletoggle post by TimRiley at Oct 24,2014 1:31pm
nah carmine i gotta be out near Boston this weekend and i don't feel like doubling back. might go to the albany one, i don't know yet.

toggletoggle post by Al Ravage at Oct 24,2014 2:12pm

Where did you see that the NH date had been cancelled? I can't find anything saying that...

toggletoggle post by spence at Oct 24,2014 4:07pm
According to Artillery's website, the NH show is at The Wreck Room in Peterborough instead.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 24,2014 4:42pm
la mia casa is the wreck room.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 24,2014 6:19pm
leaving for this in 15.

toggletoggle post by TimRiley at Oct 24,2014 8:48pm
Actually the wreck room is the other storefront of la mia casa pizza restaurant. Charles the proprietor is making that a connected ventureto his restaurant but with a different outer entry door. Gonna be a small venue (100 heads?) But have craft beer at normal restaurant prices onsite as well as all the food at la mia casa. Interested to check out this joint.

toggletoggle post by TimRiley at Oct 24,2014 8:49pm
So still cancelled*

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 24,2014 9:46pm
Ravage was ravage. So did the same minus Joe not common. I guess they are re-releasing a CD. Carmine sang a lot and I know a lot of ravage songs.

Vx36 was Ok. I'm sure people are. Going to complain about them.

toggletoggle post by HookedonMetal at Oct 25,2014 12:03am
Artillery definitely stole the show.

Onslaught? Neil Turbin is using an iPad as a teleprompter! He sounds good but this would have been way better if he had learned the songs beforehand.

pictures

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 25,2014 1:43am
he was like a lost old man who did bad onslaught kareoke. he sounded good when he sang the right thing at the right time.

toggletoggle post by Spydre  at Oct 25,2014 1:44am
I had much higher expectations for Onslaught, but seeing Neil read off of his iPad completely ruined the set.

toggletoggle post by TimRiley at Oct 25,2014 7:45am
An ipad teleprompter..... thats gold.

toggletoggle post by boblovesmusic   at Oct 25,2014 12:02pm
Bummed I missed Artillery but I enjoyed singing a William Shatner version of a Pulp song.

toggletoggle post by Ghost of Steve Jobs at Oct 25,2014 12:09pm
Why has my invention been used for such a disgraceful purpose?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 25,2014 2:48pm
Artillery ruled. Onslaught let me down

toggletoggle post by Al Ravage at Oct 25,2014 7:22pm
Thanks to everyone who came. I had a good time. Thanks to that guy Bill who bought the band three rounds of shots in a row...

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 25,2014 9:21pm
Oof.

toggletoggle post by MountainLionFromGreenfield at Oct 29,2014 7:00pm
Did they play anything off "Fistful of Metal" such as "Deathrider"?

toggletoggle post by The wasp at Nov 2,2014 11:32pm
Just for the record, record companies do not make you pull out of shows. Those decisions are down to the band and the band only. That would been due to poor ticket sales. Onslaught gave a history of doing this and blaming 3rd party involvement.

I was also at this show. This is the first time I've checked Onslaught live. Hell, there is only one true member in the band, who the hell are these guys? Rocket is an original member but tge bass player (who really jacked me off all night) and the other guitarist, who tge hell? Turbin was not at the same ball game and it was a sorry sight. Sometimes you have to give this shit up gracefully, there was no energy, just a bunch of old men trying to be rock dudes!

RIP the real Onslaught.

toggletoggle post by demondave at Dec 10,2014 10:45pm

So how bad was Onslaught/Neil Turbin? Was he outright reading off the ipad, or just glancing at it now and then?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Dec 10,2014 10:52pm
mostly reading.
