ITT: some things are funny to some people while not to others.

3. placing excessive emphasis on one's own moods, attitudes, opinions, etc.; unduly egocentric.
4. Philosophy . relating to or of the nature of an object as it is known in the mind as distinct from a thing in itself.

I bet you Mitch would've had his own show. His style was so unique. I love his observational humor.
The actual humor itself coupled with his delivery. It was the kind of humor where if you were sitting around with a group of friends telling jokes like that, at least half of them would be rolling their eyes and groaning, but knowing that just made him that much funnier to me.
Didn't crack a grin at Michael Winslow. Yeah he's talented with his voice but I don't think that talent really translates well into stand up. I could only take about five minutes of that Bill Burr shit before I had to shut it off, not even close to funny. I am enjoying Doug Stanhope so far though.
The problem that I have with most of it is that it's the most shamelessly self-indulgent form of expression out there. Give me a guy like George Carlin who actually has something to say and is well nuanced and also has the ability to make it funny. With his performances, it was like the humor was secondary to the point he was making, but it worked so well.
