I wish I could go to the Cave In one.

toggletoggle post by JellyFish at Jul 14,2004 5:40pm
what is Cave In like? Someone was talking about them the other day but cant say Ive heard them.

toggletoggle post by moran   at Jul 14,2004 6:24pm
Very hard to describe, they've covered a lot of different styles over the years. Their last couple albums were indie rock, but before that they were metal/hardcore, very hard to describe. Check out Until Your Stops or Beyond Hypothermia, their best stuff. You can probably find them cheap.

toggletoggle post by salty_fist at Jul 15,2004 12:14am
I'll be there the second night. I like all cave-in, though it would be sweet to hear some old metal tunes.

I'm going to the second night too.
it's going to be awesome ... alol... draw blood.. and then converge and cave in. if cave in plays anything from the afore mentioend cds, I might piss my self.

cave in is playing their older stuff now, and broke their contract with rca(or whoever the hell they were signed to) and are doing heavy stuff again.

i can only go the friday show unfortunatly, since i'm working night shift saturday, but the new converge album leaked and it's SO INCREDIBLE, so there's no way im missing them this weekend, especially since the ICC is right down the street from my house

they didn't break their contract (that would mean they'd get getting the shit sued out of them). they got rejected on their option.

why are you dancing for bands that dont respect it or even want it?

the only band i can think of that'd be cool with it is drawblood

toggletoggle post by Soloman   at Jul 15,2004 1:18pm
I dont dance myself, but the last converge show I went to had tons of "dancing". When the first note hit, i got windmilled in the face. There was even a fat dude rolling around on the floor knocking people over. I dunno if converge wanted it or respected it, but they definitly didn't seem to have a problem with it.

I read an interview with them. They don't have a problem with people dancing for them but they think it's gay. They also play sloppy as fuck live because they they know kids will still love them no matter how bad they play.

I know ALOL doesn't support dancing. Last time i hung out with them we were all out back and people were dancing for i think Since the Flood and they were all making fun of them.

Cave In seem like they want their shows to be chill.

Mi Amore is sludge. dancing for that would cause me to laugh histarically and I'm sure there will be some.

yeah i think dancing is hilarious. Sure go ahead and have fun in your own way, but remember people refer to it as dancing... that instantly has to set off the gaydar.

seriously, how did swinging your arms around like fucking monkey in heat and kicking like a 3 year-old in a temper tantrum ever get labeled "dancing?" last time i checked that was called "acting like a retard."

weird that at the palladium they were complaining that no one was dancing for them.
