I will be there too

Because of my hatred for headbands/bandanas at hardcore shows, I will be steering clear of All Out (Fucking) War. That band is a big sack of stinking dickass anyways.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 22,2003 9:55am
hm... I just remembered the crowd that goes to these shows... I hope they leave the long hair alone.

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Feb 22,2003 12:52pm
hey good for you. i'll make sure to tell the bands that you're not coming, just so they don't wait up for you.

toggletoggle post by xPaulBLAHBLAHx   at Feb 22,2003 1:42pm
I thought bury your dead was playing this show?

toggletoggle post by heartless   at Feb 22,2003 4:26pm
yeh i think its one of two Bury Your Dead farewell/cd release shows.
ehh im goin to see a thousand falling skies and the acacia strain at
the el n gee in new london, CT. oh welll

BYD dropped because joe and mark i think are still having problems and don't want o play together, so death before dishonor is playing in there place....make sure to get there early i think they're only letting about 200 people in because of the "great blaze" by "great white" the other nite.

damn it... I wanted to see byd...
well, I guess DBD is really good.
It's going to be a hell of a drive.
If I get there and there's no room, I'm going to piss on something.

Arg! avast ye land lovers.. er.. I mean

http://www.returntothepit.com/concert.php?date=2003-02-22&did=865

thanks to chris for the show. and thanks to xmikex and chad, always on the look out for me snapping photos.

death before dishonor: straight up good hardcore. they were basically the reason I convinced myself to go. I walked in on their set and got to listen to 3 songs.

closer than kin: they sort of didn't fit on this bill, but it's always good to see them. They played at least one track off the ep, but they played some things off machines of breathing, but I haven't listened to that yet so I didn't know any of those tracks.

ringworm: I had no idea what to expect from these guys, but they were really good. they were an odd mix of rock, metal, and old school hardcore. I guess they had a release on victory and are re-issuing it on deathwish

Unearth: for all the shit that people give them for being too metal, too hardcore, too generic, too copied-by-even-other-band, their shows area always high engery and fun (dumb faces included). They played a ton of tracks that even I could sing along to.

All out war: ok, for those of you that thought I was SXE cause I never drink at shows and you were shocked to see me drinking a beer, I have one rule; I never drink at shows, unless a band gives me a drink. I think it's rude to turn down when a band offers it to you. Anyhow, all out war was soo much better this time. After being MIA (for 2-3 years?), they run around, sang a bunch of oldies, at least one "metal" new one and thanked everyone in the audience for our race single handedly destroying the planet. Any one who missed this set, they said they would be back, but you still missed it.

ya ringworm is so good...i dont even know why i like em thou, i mean they arent really my style, but damn they just kill every time...all out war were really good even if i didnt think they were real tight...but who cares, all out war made awesome music that got metal kids to mix wit hardcore kids more...always gotta look out for the guy takin pics haha, soon as i see the hair i toss up some guard for ya rev...stupid DBD was supposed to go on at 9, and so we rolled in as their last song was ending which sucked...i take it they played good thou rev? ya so thats it, and for those who love/hate us, Back Of Tha Neck has been dropped from the massfest lineup due to not enough room...we were on it for like 3 weeks, and now we are one of the 4 bands who got cut...call scott and tell him thats no good haha...peace

too many tough guys at that show but then again it was all out war. i thought ringworm was good, it was my first time seeing them, death before dishoner, and all out war.. i was shocked to see how brutal the guys were at this show. it was fucking insane. closer than kin didn't fit the bill, and i asked them to play a last prayer and nick said no, but roger thanked me after. wicked nice guys.

i can't wait till chariots of fire 2k3 fest. it'll be fucking sick.

action:attack! is putting on a show march 13 @ the PAL in Fall River with:
Bane
In Dire Need
Closer Than Kin
Lucas

stomach problems and all out war.......doesn't work

stage diving and kids running away.........doesn't work.

i guess the sight of a 90lb kid is just a little too much for some people to handle, and thats why they need to run out of the way when I jump off the stage hahahah FAGGOTS.

awsome show. i felt like i was 16 again watching all out war. i just wish i didn't have crippling stomach pains for half their set.

hey rev i recall you swigging the community vodka at the anal blast show at jarrods back in november.... however that was warranted just because its a damn cool gesture by the band. too bad more bands dont do that. oh anal blast, come back soon with your generous distribution of cheap alcohol to ensue a rowdy, drunken crowd.

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Feb 23,2003 4:38pm
Anal Blast, March 10th @ 49 Monk st. i dunno who else is playing besides maggot feast

waaaa too many tough guys waaaaah...shut up already about the whole "tough guys at hardcore shows"...hardcore was meant for kids like those...if you want shows where kids are not tough guys then go watch emo...real hardcore bands bring real hardcore kids, and yes they are prob "tough guys"...stop sounding like a bridge 9 clone and realize that hardcore has and always will draw kids who dance hard to shows...the new kids always think that what they see at shows now is "a bunch of tough guys hurting the innocents"...ask people what old shows used to be like and then youll see that what goes on now at shows is nothing to complain about...least now kids arent packin guns like they used to

take this hand is a newbie fat scene whore!

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 24,2003 1:29am
you know, I thought this a.o.w. show was a lot less violent than the last time I saw them (dec 9 2000). I think it's cause 1/2 the crowd didn't have FSU hat's and tat's.

toggletoggle post by Harkins at Feb 24,2003 12:44pm
Yah go to lambgoat. All the kids on there are complaining cause there were too many FSU kids there. Some people are just ignorant.
