My question is, is there a *definition* of "pizza thrash" or is it a "I know it when I hear it" kinda thing?

I'm not posting any pizza thrash because most of it is made by young kids who know absolutely jack shit about thrash and just rip off Anthrax and DRI riffs and sing about parties and about how thrash is back. They also completely miss the NWOBHM and hardcore punk influence that was quite noticeable in a lot of the early bands.

Pizza Thrash has a ton of hardcore punk influence. If the only HC punk elements you care about are crappy production (but at least it's all analog, so it's still trve) and shitty compositions that don't flow (not that all hc punk has shitty composition), then you're right. I guess some of those elements are missing.
