"However, drummer Mikkey Dee, 50, thinks Lemmy needs a reality check and to stop drinking.
He said: "I think after all he's been through, I'd say this: 'Lem, when are you going to get sick and tired of feeling sick and tired? It's time you started to take care of yourself.' ""
He's been dealing(poorly) with the diabetes for a while now. More worrying is the defribulator he had implanted in his chest after open heart surgery last spring. He's not looking or sounding well. Things don't look very good for him to be around much longer. Play now, pay later.
I doubt Lemmy would live any longer from quitting everything than just saying "fuck it" and getting back on the road. If anything, it would mess with him even worse. Can you imagine that guy's heart suddenly trying to function without booze and speed?
More importantly, Aftershock fucking ruled. Best sounding record since Bastards.
