"DANZIG, DOYLE, MAYHEM, DEVILDRIVER, DEATH ANGEL To Team Up For BLACKEST OF THE BLACK Tour - July 9, 2004

DANZIG, DOYLE (featuring ex-MISFITS guitarist Doyle), MAYHEM, DEVILDRIVER, DEATH ANGEL and EYES OF FIRE will be teaming up for this fall's edition of the "Blackest Of The Black" tour.

"Blackest of the Black" organizer Glenn Danzig had this comment regarding the package: "At least in the foreseeable future... this will be my last tour. It seems like I have been touring my whole life and I want to take some time for myself and do many of the things I've always wanted to do, like direct my first feature film, which I will be doing this next year."

With regards to his decision to invite former MISFITS bandmate Doyle to take part in this year's festivities, Glenn said, "To do this right, I invited DOYLE to join DANZIG on stage at 'Blackest Of The Black' for a 'special guest' MISFITS set. This is the first time we will be performing on stage together in 20 years. It's the closest thing to a MISFITS reunion anyone is ever going to see!"

DANZIG will be supporting their new album, "Circle Of Snakes", due on August 24 through Danzig's Evilive label (Regain Records in Europe). Tickets for this year's "Blackest Of The Black" tour will go on sale July 25."

That's fucking weak that 1) They're not headlining, and 2) I have to sit through Devil Driver again, why are they on every tour??? At least we all finally get to see Mayhem (although I am leaving after them).

i have no idea. i talked to jerry only like 4 months ago and he said he was hooking back up with doyle to do a band. i guess that hasnt happenend yet

devil driver is on every tour cause they have money in the promotion department, and they make money cause every little retard will go to see dez, AND since theyre heavier then coal chamber, every little retard feels that going to see devil driver makes them a bad ass. Thus they make money, thus they get tour support from roadrunner or whoever has them, thus they are on every tour, the lame part of quite a few good tours at this point.

devildriver are raging posers. i know two of the homos in that band, they used to live in MA. one of them was room mates with one of my best friends a couple years ago up in VT when they were in college together. i was at a party with them years ago, and i stole their water pipe bubbler. they were pissed but too wimpy to get it back haha.

i might go to this. i'm interested in seeing danzig again. i've seen mayhem two times, and they are fucking pathetic live. new mayhem is not mayhem, fuck those money hungry trend fags. i will just heckle them like i did last time. maniac is a queer with some of the worst vocals i've ever heard.

Wow, that's nice. At least the current guitarist can actually play a fucking guitar. I'm mad that Euronymous is dead, but Blasphemer's better anyway. If you don't like them now just don't listen to them, there is no reason to make outrageous claims that your opinion is correct and mine is wrong.

Mayhems live show is kind of weak, but seeing Hellhammer do his rolls would be worth the price of admission.

The reason Hellhammer's rolls sound so good is cause he triggers the fuck out of his drums so it sounds like he is pounding on them really really fast. I laugh everytime I listen to European Legions cause of how badly triggered they are. Hahahahaha.
