Not sure if this is a dig at me, but just so the RTTP travel agency gets its fix I'll be flying into Oslo, spending a couple days there and then taking off across southern Norway to explore some beautiful nature and scenery before heading to Bergen to fly home. If I see anyone in a BM shirt along the way I'll honestly probably pick up my tent and go somewhere else.

How do you feel about Voss? It looks pretty small, but I keep hearing the name come up in places I need to check out and I have a hard time saying no to this kind of view

the more time you spend in the west the better views you will get. I lived in Ås and its basically pretty flat and full of wheat fields. I have not been to Voss, but it seems like a pretty standard view out that way. Its too bad you arent planning to go north at all, Bodø, especially Lofoten islands are a must see in Norway! Maybe worth making a trip to see the "midnight sun"?

Helvete was a pretty overwhelming experience for a small record shop. Actually much different than what I was expecting in a lot of ways, and in the overall theme of Norway everything was crazy expensive.... when they were even actually for sale. Explanations to come in issue #3 of Codex Obscurum.

Norway itself was a total blast. I had a great time in Oslo, but it was smaller than I expected and was pretty easy to figure out. Bergen, on the other hand, was actually pretty daunting in its size and layout. Everyone is incredibly friendly and generally helpful. The public transportation runs on time and is practically on the honor system most of the time. And it was kind of a trip to hand a stack of zines over to a metal guy with tattoos working at Neseblood and have him say "Oh, how very sweet of you!"

Looking forward to that write-up. Killer place to visit.

Black Metal is over but do come for the picturesque villages and especially the exquisite cheeses!
