Predictions, picks, and bullshitting. First person to suggest that sports are gay because professional athletes wear "tight clothes" is RESIDENT FAGGOT.

AFC

BALTIMORE VS DENVER - Peyton is a joke in the playoffs, who can't win outside and will be demolished by the Ravens. Joe Flacco sucks and will be lucky to complete 60% of his throws, 2 picks and sacked twice. ALSO, Broncos had such a soft schedule, 2 games against the Chiefs, Raiders, Chargers each aside from single games with Cleveland and Carolina. Tight game decided by field goals, Ray Lewis facing retirement is a sever X factor that scares me 20-17 RAVENS

HOUSTON VS NEW ENGLAND - The Texans are frauds. Schaub will decide how bad they get beat, whether he throws it which should lead to 2 picks or if they just chew up time with Foster on the ground who won't fumble yet will only lead them to the Pats 30-40 making it long distance field goal city. Pats have Gronk back who was missed during the regular season meeting. I'll be shocked if they blow the doors off them again. 37-21 PATS

NFC

SEATTLE VS ATLANTA - Hawks are no joke, I gotta hand it to Pete the Poodle. Russell Wilson would be a great vote for Rookie of the Year, kid can run, block, pass and just fucking win. They held all teams to 15.3 points during the regular season and are up against a Falcon team that had one of the softer schedules around next Denver. Hawks can win on the road, yet turf might play against them. Expecting a wild game with some turn overs by the Falcons by that stellar Seattle Defense. I'll bet on defense in the post season religiously. 30-24 Hawks

GREEN BAY VS SAN FRANCISCO - Tough one here. Personally, I feel that the winner of this one could beat the Pats in a final. Green Bay's D sucks and won't be able to pressure Kaepernick proper, yet Rogers will be rushed hard and sacked a few times. Although Rogers is a proven winner and will lead his team much better than the 49ers Rookie QB. Fuck it's tough, but again DEFENSE will reign supreme. 28-17 49ers

broncs, pats, hawks, and pack will all move on to the conference championships. the closest games will be denver vs baltimore and GB vs SF. the pats vs houston game will be a lot closer than the blowout a few weeks ago, but the pats will still win by at least 10.

Patriots vs Broncos...

ESPN wants it

RAVENS VS BRONCOS
I want the Ravens to win so Ray Lewis goes out with a BANG but I think the Broncos will win by 10.

TEXANS AT PATS
I like both teams cause I grew up in Houston, but ONLY THE OILERS ARE REAL. That being said, I think the Texans will pack a punch but Brady and co will be too much to stop. Gronk is back, too.

SEAHAWKS VS FALCONS
I like my boy Matt Ryan but the Seahawks are poised right now. Their D can destroy teams, but I'm not sure on this one. Close game, Hawks win by 6.

PACKERS VS 49ERS
I think San Fran is the sleeping favorite to win it all outside of the Pats.. BUT, their quarterback lacks experience under pressure. They'll take this game, though. 21-14

Texans are going to get lit up

Biggest blowout will be the Seahawks Fraudlanta game. Matt Ryan throws twelve interceptions and the city of Atlanta descends into a zombie apocalypse after the CDC blows up.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jan 7,2013 7:57pm
The falcs will lose and the entire city of Atlanta won't give a fuck because they're not the Georgia bulldogs.

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Jan 8,2013 10:24am
The last time the Ravens played the Broncos they had Flacco throwing the ball 40 times. If you see a repeat of that then it's an easy Broncos win. The Ravens rode the Ray Lewis retiring thing really well last week, but there's only so far you can go with that. 52 didn't look like himself on the field a lot of times. Manning had better watch his back though because Paul Krueger looked vicious coming off the edge. No way does Jim Caldwell's offense beat Denver though, even though I don't think the Denver D is as good as it's made out to be.

I liked the way Atlanta entered the playoffs. I think their momentum took a definite dip in the middle of the season, but they played good football late in the year. The Hawks won't have Clemmons coming off the edge anymore. On top of that the Redskins game was closer than the box score shows. The Skins could have won that game with a better group of receivers. Something Atlanta definitely has.

I hate the 49ers. I don't like this loveable underdog thing they have going. It's a load of shit. Jim Harbaugh is still the same guy who acted like an asshole when they beat the Lions last year. Their safeties are headhunters who get away with cheap shots. Frank Gore has laid down and died whenever times got tough for years. And Aldon Smith is a beast, no doubt, but of course he has a million sacks. So many dumbass coaches think they can put him on an island against a tight end, or just forget about blocking him all together. I've seen him run over some very good LTs, but I've also seen him score a lot of sacks running basically uncontested to the QB.

The real matchup I want to see is Green Bay v Seattle for the NFC championship, and let the Packers avenge the most bullshit game of the season. The Seahawks have been building off the success of that win all season and it was absolute bullshit. I want to see Charles Woodson drill Golden Tate and put him in a headlock until he admits he never caught that touchdown.

But it won't happen. The Niners will beat the Packers.

Also, RE: Pats vs. Texans
JJ WATT WAS INVISIBLE AGAINST THE PATS

Texans "fans" and Watt fanboys across the league refuse to admit it, but I was there. I had to go looking for 99 most of the game. There were times where I almost couldn't even find him. The Pats buried him. No matter what I like the Pats setting the edge against Foster. I think Talib did a great job last time against Johnson. I think the Pats can win this game on either side of the ball.

1 hour til the AFC game...snow in Denver, fuck you Peyton.

You called that ravens win. I was hoping for a pats vs Peyton matchup next week.

You want the Pats in Denver? Fuck that. Let the Ravens come to Foxboro.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jan 13,2013 8:49am
The pats always have a hard time in Denver. Watching them go there and win would make the playoff run more impressive, plus the Brady vs Peyton duels are always fun to watch. I'm sure a Baltimore pats afc championship rematch will be a great game too, provided they get by Houston today.

lol @ all of us in this thread that thought Denver's defense was a lock. What the hell? That game should have been over a couple of times. Watching that game I would have GLADLY taken Denver even if it was in Denver. Their secondary was clueless. Knowshon Moreno looked like he was running in slow motion.

Do you know why Torrey Smith almost never has big games like that? Because he runs 1 goddamn route the entire game. You put a safety over the top of him and that's the last year hear of him.

And can someone tell me what John Fox was thinking? 30 seconds left before overtime. Baltimore has ALL the momentum. You've got one of the greatest QB's of all time against a poor secondary. ALL your timeouts. And he takes a knee? It's Mile High Stadium. 60 yard field goals are like 20 yard field goals. Fast forward to 2nd OT and you've got a rookie kicker lining up for a game winning field goal and you don't ice him? The play clock was pretty low. He might have been counting on them not to get the snap off in time. But still I think it's an automatic.

Manning! Call an audible and watch out for those 2 million free orange barrels, you fucking hack. That bastard is such a darling of the NFL and all the broadcasters. Disney had a script for his season inked in the cum of wet dreams but fuck off asshole, fairy tale is over. SERIOUSLY. I was losing my mind watching Manning have BOTH hands on the ball when he got stripped sacked and I gotta listen to Gumbles say "well from this angel he was definitely throwing the ball, so it should be incomplete, it's quite clear Dan" "Oh yeah Greg, without a doubt this will be reversed" Yeah well, after reviewing the play with my fucking eyes I saw Peyton be a bitch and refuse to tuck the ball and take the sack like Brady. Fucking corporate whore being pimped by every network and nfl executive out there. 3 sacks and 2 picks on PM fuck off nowadays claims of the greatest of all time. Brady will always be better and with or without ugg boots. And yes, I was disappointed with PM for kneeling with that time left....how many time outs were left?? (I was driving to o'brien's) But hey, that's the way Manning has always played, safe mode mother fucker. Great at exploiting a weakness or finding a hole deep but horrible at taking risks which defines champions come post season. BEST PART? Ray Lewis saying it's predetermined destiny by god that the Ravens won. Lewis is so tapped it's amazing. I mean, sure if I was involved with a murder in my limo and my white suit somehow disappeared and I was freed of charges, I'd think I was a complete manifestation of divine intervention as well. I love him all miced for nfl films squaking like master p in wcw when he comes out of the tunnel in baltimore. HEY AT LEAST I CALLED 3 POINTS.
Didn't really watch the NFC game until the 3rd when I saw QB CK have a big run to go up by 7 which lead to that what, 21-0 scoring run?
I really want to see the Hawks vs 49ers. I think we can beat em both in NO, especially the Hawks.

Was anyone else wondering just what the fuck Phil Simms was talking about the whole game? With a few exceptions I don't often think that commentators are biased, or really anything but people who like to hear their own voice.

But the Foster non-touchdown in the 2nd quarter, and the non-timeout right before the half were infuriating. "Well it's really impossible to see where the ball was when he knee went down..." There's his knee. There's the ball. And there's a 250 lb linebacker in between the ball and the goal line. They pull out the overhead camera where the entire play is obscured by bodies and Simms says "Oh well now I'm not so sure he didn't have the touchdown." Because now that the indisputable evidence of him not getting the touchdown is gone it looks a lot more convincing.

The timeout at the end of the half was the worst though. Daniels catches the ball with a second left. Goes to the ground. And then 2 or 3 seconds later the whistle blows. I realize the CBS game clock isn't official, and sound takes time to travel. But Simms goes out of his way to say "I heard the whistle blow for a timeout and then looked and saw 2 seconds on the clock." Lie. No other way around it.

Simms opened his mouth and said something that he knew wasn't true just to have something to say. And when CBS' own replay showed he was wrong (by a lot) he still didn't own up to it. I'm usually content to just be bored stiff with his Al Gore-ish "color" commentary but he was on another level last night.

Joe Buck is useless. But to this day Troy Aikman is the only analyst who correctly pointed out that the Giants were awarded about 2 free minutes of game clock on their game winning drive in Super Bowl XLII. The clock stopped after a receiver was tackled in bounds with no time outs being called, and the officials never restarted it. Aikman was the only one in the booth who noticed/bothered to say anything about it.

"Peyton Manning is one of these guys who was born on third base and acts like he got a triple" - Jerry Thornton

I'm nervous for Sunday. Pats never do well against physical teams like the Ravens. Baltimore got Cundiffed last year(who is on SF now) and beat us narrowly this year. Coach Bill and QB Brady won't let that happen again but it will be close. Pats without Gronk and Woody is certainly an issue of concern but someone will step the fuck up, Hootabamamamnanan is my guy, we will all spell his name correctly by the end of the season. 27-23 Pats

Fuck the Falcons. Offense will never beat a sound defense. 34-26 49ers
