for the first time ever, i enjoy something Deftones did. the album has a few filler moments, but otherwise it's solid.

actually the whisper vocals are far less irritating this round, and he actually sings his heart out in a lot of it. i would love to see it live if i knew they were only going to play this and none of the other nonsense.

great album.

They killed it at the HoB last month. Also at Hampton Beach last year. The whole Chi Cheng thing really lit a fire under their ass. I saw them over a decade ago and they didn't have the energy they do now. Give respect where it's due. They still go after it hard and never release an album that sounds overly similar to another.

that's what it sounded like to me, the shit with their bassist shook them hard and brought Chino down to Earth. I'm curious to hear Diamond Eyes now.

I've been rocking the new Deftones album lately, myself. I'd recommend checking out Diamond Eyes as well, it's just as solid. Saturday Night Wrist is worth hearing as well.

i won't worry about the opinions of people who think "Tara" is a good album.

They probably don't like Bjork either. Fascists.
