I plan to book less shows in September, however does anyone know any bands from other states who I should look into?

Joe, if you are into getting Malignancy let me know cause I can talk to Danny Nelson (vocals) about it. I talk to Moe from Unhallowed on occasion too so I might be able to help you out there as well.
On a side note, Leukorrhea would be down for a CB show if you need anyone. I also wanted to mention that the show on Cape that I did went pretty damned good so I wanted to maybe book one of your bands for the next one. Do a show trade?? |

Yeah I saw Malignancy in Lowell, pretty killer stuff.
I definately want to get Leukorrhea, you guys were great at the middle east. I will probably start getting some september dates this week, I just want to see what else is happening in the area |

the scene isn't based on what I like, but what I book is based on what I like.
If people don't like what I am doing then nothing is stopping them from booking their own shows, but my shows are not a democracy. I do take advice and opinions from bands to help fill out line ups, but even that is rare.
I started doing this so there would be plenty of shows for me to have fun at, if you don't like it then don't come because my attitude won't change. Also, don't blame the state of 'the scene' on me, everyone complained before anything was happening but did nothing and now that something is happening everyone complains about it. I am only one of a dozen people booking shows. |

Hey Dan, this guy Robin was telling me about a new club he can help get my foot in the door at. The stage is bigger (well, the stage exists) so I definately want Shroud down. The 2 clubs I do book at now, the performance area is to small for Shroud I think, but this other place, I hear, is much roomier.

Joe I don't care about your attitude....The point is to have bands not from boston play in boston....and I'm sure most everyone in the scene wants to see bands they normally don't get too and for local bands to make contacts outside of this scene...and that was the point of me mentioning the bands I did....I just had no idea you only booked shows and what you personally like....Which too bad cause a show with Ed Gein and Raising Kubrick would be SICK! |

I couldn't agree more. I like some bands you book, I dislike some. Point is, they're bands YOU book. If I had a big problem, I'd book the fucking show myself.
Thanks for making the effort Joe, and thanks for the show next friday. One thing in agreement with dan, I would love to see some of these bands play here. Could you maybe help us out setting up a show of our own with some of these bands? |

I really don't this applies with Joe. He's brought in Hellblock 6, Misery Index, Iron Bitchface, Laceration and a bunch other bands from outside the area. As far as local bands being able to make contacts, my band and Disengaged are able to do a mini-tour of Philly and NYC due to what Joe's accomplished.
And in closing, I love gay women.
