toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Oct 23,2012 6:46pm
Nothing will help your typing.

I'm comparing Sprint to Verizon
Sprint: $84 (phone + unlimited everything) + Verizon $20 (ipad 1GB) = $104/month
Verizon: $40 smartphone + $10 ipad + $100 10GB data + insurance + taxes = $135/month

I just got the Galaxy S3 and it's pretty baller. Real Talk. Phonez 4 lyf.

toggletoggle post by Boozegood at Oct 24,2012 3:19pm
If you are having mega-trouble typing than you probobly have 'swipe' on. If you don't use swipe for actual swipe-typing, than turn it off. Normal-typing at high speeds is virtually impossible with swipe on.

the GS3 is awesome. I had it for 2 weeks and miss it dearly. The galaxy note 2 has twice the battery, a bigger screen, a pen, and a faster quad core processor. I loved s-memo on the gs3 too.

swype with the pen on the GN was awesome. Much better than with my fingers. I'm going to switch to swiftkey though: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey&hl=en
when I had the GS3, swiftkey was amazing.

Just picked up the G3.

Noticed my reception sucks at home.

Called them. They're sending me an airave. Basically routes your calls from the cell towers to your internet when you're home. Constant 5 bar signal. Awesome side benefit? All calls at home no longer count towards my plan minutes, since they're over my internet and not sprint.

The device is free. There's no fee, except a couple bucks in taxes they tack onto your bill.

I like Sprint, they've been very good to me.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Oct 24,2012 7:06pm
Don't bring my boy Sprint into this plz

toggletoggle post by Arrow NLI at Oct 24,2012 7:09pm
Please. I was defending Sprint back when he was still hanging with all those push-to-talk Nextel faggots.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Oct 24,2012 7:15pm
lol'd.

I have had an airwave in my house for over a year. I basically just turned it off.
1) any one can connect to it.
2) makes txt lag by 5-15 minutes.
3) my phone doesn't let go of it so if I go next door to the supermarket, it never switches off even though I don't have service
4) I have to reboot it daily and sprints advice was to turn it on, pull the battery from the phone, the when it is booted, put the battery back in the phone and leave it on top of the unit for 45 minutes so they can sync up
5) if I start using my network, my calls get very choppy and unusable.

Btw: I have had sprint for 12.5 years but the past 2.5 has been almost unusable.

Don't know about all your other issues, but for sure #1 is false. You can secure the new boxes.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 25,2012 1:03am
you CAN if you talk with the tech support to get into it.

OR, you could just log into sprint.com and enter the phone numbers you want to have access. I know, I know, so difficult.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 25,2012 9:19pm
I didn't know that was available there.
I got the galaxy note 2 today btw. it rules.

toggletoggle post by Burnsy at Oct 25,2012 9:20pm
A post without a misspell? Looks legit. A new era for rttp.

Yup, go to preferences, and look to the right - there's a button that says "manage my airave". You can type in what phone numbers you want to allow. Make sure to format them like this: xxx-xxx-xxxx . I tried without the hyphens and it wouldn't update properly.

If he wasn't logged in I would have said it was a troll.

Pretty sure I'm picking up this bad Larry tomorrow...or later today I should say. So fucking sick of the MyTouch 4G Slide, reviewed as "the perfect smart phone for your mom."

I want this phone so badly, wish I had an upgrade available

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 26,2012 12:01pm
THE GALAXY NOTE IS FUCKING AWESOME!
Seriously, a iphone 4s guy played with it for a minute and said "I'm getting this".

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 26,2012 12:01pm
s-memo with shape recognition is amazing.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 26,2012 12:03pm
I will post pictures of all my devices together when I get home.

toggletoggle post by Arrow NLI at Oct 26,2012 3:13pm
Ah, and now all the other issues you mention are popping up with the airave. Not getting calls, texts not going through, and my phone randomly getting dropped off the airave.

Oy vey, thought this was going to be the perfect solution.

can't fucking wait!

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at Oct 26,2012 11:08pm
Picked it up earlier today. Best phone ever, and I usually don't think too highly of any phone. Screen is amazing, touch response on the keyboard is very accurate, especially since I've never been able to successfully use touch screens to type. Also loving Swype. The only negative I've come across is extremely minor; turning on the home screen when the screen is off lags just a little bit. Boner.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 26,2012 11:11pm
Try SwiftKey keyboard. Seriously

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 26,2012 11:12pm
SwiftKey keyboard is going to support swype in the next version.

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at Oct 26,2012 11:42pm
SwiftKey is fast as shit...The auto correct on it is surprisingly accurate.

toggletoggle post by menstrual_sweatpants_disco   at Oct 27,2012 3:14pm
I use SwiftKey. It's awesome.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 27,2012 4:30pm
This phone is freaking awesome. I installed SwiftKey and it rules. They also say they are adding swype functionality to SwiftKey.

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at Oct 27,2012 4:50pm
I think I like the Samsung keyboard the most out of all 3, honestly.

toggletoggle post by Arrow NLI at Oct 27,2012 5:11pm
I tried Swiftkey, good suggestion, I like it a lot. Very fast, very accurate. I don't like how it automatically inserts spaces after punctuation a-la swype, too often I tap space and find it inserting "I Am" or some other such auto-fill at the beginning of the sentence.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 27,2012 7:18pm
Yeah, it has taken me a while to get used to the auto insert thing, but but you can probably remove that. I also found that you can foul it up by quoting things a lot on rttp and then try to use a ".

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 28,2012 10:23am
Holy shit! Sync with Dropbox! It rules and they give you 48gb free

I didn't like this at first either, but honestly you just get used to it and it's not an issue at all.
