Yes. Far more gratuitous zombie violence. I've read through the comics up through this season, and based on where the plot is at, they'd have to reaaaaaaally try to make this season drag. Lots of fun stuff in the works, assuming they don't stall the plot like they did in season 2.

Andrea is a likable character in the comics.. but they fucked with the story line immensely. Besides of all the stupid shit they changed one of the things that pissed me off the most was that she was the one who kept everything together when they tried to take over Woodbury, not defending it.
Also, she's a race traitor in the comics and fucks that new black guy Tyreese, doubt that will happen in the show though. |

I read the first 6 or 7 comics back in the day and stopped because I wasn't particularly into them... at least not enough to continue seeking them out in chronological order, which is the only way to read them. |

Finally caught up on this season last night, EXCEPT episode 4 which pisses me off immensely (fuck you, Comcast OnDemand). Oh well, I'll find it online, even though everyone and their mothers gave it away on Facebook 2 seconds after the episode originally aired.
But I digress. This has been my favorite season so far; I was afraid it would continue to be a soap opera with zombies, but the ratio of violence to drama/suspense is perfect. I'm glad they haven't resorted to all out bloodbaths, but they raised the level of killing right where it needs to be, in my opinion. |
