Thoughts?

Was just about to post a thread. Got it last night. Listening now. Not disappoint thus far but none of their records have left something to be desired for me. Gang vocals in thoughts like hammers are pretty cool. Will check back in after I've heard teh whole thing.

Almost purchased this last night but I went with Blut Aus Nord's Cosmosophy instead.

Assuming the album doesn't fall off a cliff after the third song, I'd say we have us a fucking solid record right here. If you don't like Larsen's singing, this record may not be for you which is also to say you probably haven't liked any of the newer stuff anyway.

I think Hells Headbangers has the RIITIIR and the new Blut Aus Nord.

Coincidentally, the new Blut Aus Nord reminds me a lot of newer Enslaved...except more demented and Blut Aus Nord like.

Digging this album so far. I'm more impressed with this one than the last few releases for sure.

Veilburner and Materal are the best songs off the album imo

cd was 18 bucks so I bought 9 dollar slint spiderlands LP instead.

Death in the Eyes of Dawn is another good track from the album.

i just gave this a full listen, as objectively as possible. Musically it is amazing, lots of atmospheric ebb and flow. however the vocals are almost unbearable, from both sides. the "harsh" vocals are so bad, he really needs to stop singing. the clean vocals sound so half-assed and nasal-y. it's a shame because otherwise it was very enjoyable. live it's going to sound awesome.
