New site? Maybe some day.
Each person just gets a selection of pages to do, than just list the bands that are featured and on what page (perhaps even saying if it's an interview, review, etc.).
This book rules. There isn't an index in the book? |
Nope, not that I've found yet at least, haha. And it definitely needs one. |
I'm down. I have a copy and have been steadily reading it at intervals since like last November. There've been so many jems and great quotes along the way that I KNOW there's going to be multiple things I want to find to re-read in the future.
It's just worth checking to make sure there isn't already an e-version of this online where you can just CTRL-F search terms. |

Yea I searched for a second, found nothing. Will search a little more thoroughly right now. |
I could maybe help someday possibly. |
Scanning the whole thing and putting it online digitally would be pretty cool |
With clickable links in the table of contents or index |
That seems kind of pointless when you could just buy the book. |
Current nerd project is ripping all my CDs into FLAC instead of lame MP3 because I am building my first high-quality portable-music-thingy.
(Sandisk Sansa Clip+, FIIO E11 Amp, KOSS PortaPro's if anyone cares. The Clip+ switchable with a Sharp JC126 Cassette player for tape-listening-time.)
Thaaan getting started on this. |

same reason stuff like this exists...its cool to be able to access it from anywhere. and you dont need to lug that HUGE book around...and if it was indexed like tully suggested, you could just click a band name and it would bring you to the exact page within any given zine (or in this case the Metallion book) that you can find that particular interview, review, etc...

(mostly only for download but these could all easily be viewable within a browser)
http://www.deathmetal.org/zines/en/
etc etc |
