there are some really good songs throughout the last bunch of albums, but none of the albums really stuck out in full. Below the Lights and Vertebrae are the strongest.

What about Monumension?

I thought Vertebrae sounded like a heavy David Gilmour album

i did NOT like Monumension at all. Blodhemn is the last good one before Below the Lights.

Vertebrae is not a good headphone album, Grutle's voice sounds horrible.

Below the Lights is probably my favorite album. Ruun is underrated, and I really liked Axioma Ethica Odini and the Thorn EP.

My only gripe with the band is the keyboardist. I don't care for his singing. They don't exactly offend me, but they never do anything to excite me. Grutle has a great clean singing voice. I think he should just take it all over.

Enslaved have always been one of my favorite bands but after Isa I kind of stopped paying attention for whatever reason. It's definitely not bad, I just find myself putting on "Eld" or "Mardraum" a lot more than Ruun.

Frost > all else.

Also 'thoughts like hammers' is a pretty off-putting name.

Everyone and their mom has said this to me my whole life and I don't see it. It's definitely an amazing album, but I don't know that it is their best because I love just about every album, for different reasons.

frost is great but this band has that skill of making albums that don't sound the same.

I would definitely say that the most underrated Enslaved album is Monumension by far. SO fuckin good

Cripes, I'm getting raped by the opinion police. It's my favorite album. I like every one I have and the newer ones I've heard. I just don't drool over them anymore.

Yeah I've met a lot of people that like enslaved buy have never even heard monumension. Convoys to nothingness for the fucking win.

When they played Mark's Showplace in 2006, I broke my knuckle while hitting the floor of the stage in excitement because they played Loke.

Also, I take that back. Eld is my favorite album by them.

I don't care if I sound like a homo fan boy, 793 is one of the best metal songs ever written.

I need to find the patience to relisten and digest all the stuff theyve done in the past 8 years.

Good thing about this band is they started so damn young. They have a lot of creative juices left before (IF) Metallica syndrome hits them.

backed. i saw them a few years ago in CT in front of like only 40 people, i sounded like a homo fanboy yelling "LINDISFARNE" at grutle, i don't think he knew what i was saying and they didn't play it.

it's so so worth it. great songwriting.

i rarely ever hear anyone talk about Blodhemn. i love the savagery.

Great album for working out/going for a run.

seeing CSDO's bass player fall off the stage was also a highlight at that show.

i love all of enslaved's stuff. my favorite is below the lights. mardraum is an album that doesn't get enough love.

Fuck yeah, Cromlech Gate.

I think when they played the Middle East last was the best time of the five times I've seen them. I lost my shit when they played The Voices.

I stopped paying attentiong to them after they fell in love with the keyboardist clean singing. The new stuff i check out every so often isnt "bad" but its just boring really. I saw them at the last Hole In the Sky a year ago and I actually stopped watching them half way through their set because I was getting tired of all the new songs. Also it may of been because I just saw Primordial, Mayhem, and Nefilheim...
