eighth empire: damn this was nothing like I expected it to be. the guitar player on the left had issues with his bottom cab. I actually think the power on that side. Another issue they had is you couldn't hear the talk singing that the singer was doing. this is probably a good thing... knowing me, I wouldn't have liked it. over all, the band was nice and heavy. it sounded realy good. there was a lot of change ups in the drum timing.
dead like death: I heard this was their 3rd show. they had an aweful lot of people there for them if that is the case. their sound was different. it sort of reminded me a little of disengaged, but with less "fun-punk" and more metal.
attacking frequencies: I think this is probably the most apply named band ever. some of the frequencies they unleashed while setting up their equipment attacked my ears. the guitar played did all these crazy things with his guitar that I can't even figure out how they made the sounds they did (all I could think was behold the arctopus things). at certains points, there was definitly 2 guitars playing... took me until the last time to figure out it was the bass-player playing all the way down at the bottom of his highest strings. I realized a bunch of times that their song structure bordered on sounding like strapping young lad (minus the keys), but they they would break into something really disjointed and all semblance to syl would go away.
random acts of violence: such a fun band with roudy fans. Everyone there rocked out to them and there was actually people dancing, including girls pushing people around. they played a bunch of tracks off their cd and a cover of man-o-war that was awesome as usual. |
Oh yeah. no one has mentioned the small explotion that happened across the street next to McD's. Shitload of cops and a fire engine and shit. |
oh yeah, I forgot to mention that.
if I hadn't spent 30 minutes circling the block, I would have seen that and been able to take pictures. |
Aaron, do you know where the free lots are? |
um.. I think so?
the two on the back side across the street?
I sharked them over and over. |
okay, I wasn't sure when you said you circled the block a few times. |
there weren't any spaces anywhere. |
I'm not sure exactly. I was sitting at the bar and the lights dimmed for a sec. I guess something exploded in the trash can across the street or smoke was coming out of the grate on the sidewalk. I was hopeing someone else got some more details. |

one of the lots had a ton of spaces |
That's my secret parking lot! Shhhhh!! |
But yeah, that show kicked my ass. So much that I called in sick from work today. Random Acts is definitely my favorite local live act. Dead Like Death were good, too. I missed the first band because someone got us lost. :P |
LAdy C..come save me at work... |
Aww, doll. I would if I could!! |
Eighth Empire fucking OWNED!
If your ever in Fitchburg, look 'em up.

I live right near the compound. I'd go if I wasnt a fucking freshman. And if they werent 21+. |
Charlie Empire here, the compound will be having 18+ shows on sundays starting the 18 of july. also the explosion was in the subway grates directly infront of McD's. I know cause eighth empires bassist our sometimes photographer and i were standing just to the right of the grates.t happened. |
