I don't know... if I get an e-mail saying I'm definitly on the list, carina and I just might go. I don't know though cause we are planning on spending the day down on the cape.
I guess it's kevin and ogre only and it's more of an oghr show with some old school songs (actually, I was told they are playing a lot of old songs).
they will also be back in the fall with a "special" tour.. whatever that means.
man.. I'm such and old school rivet head. if they played anything of rabies, I might loose it.

the only time I've seen ogre live is when he toured with kmfdm in 96 or 97. Pig opened for them (the time before this I saw kmfdm with pig leading from that pig/kmdfm split) and Pig completely tries to act just like ogre.

I'm just curious how the hell this shows going to be with out goettle... I have a feeling it's going to sound like brap with DAT'd keys.

tweaker: I'm not really a fan of them. not that I don't like them, I just don't know them at all. they were ok. I think that they were ok. I was busy getting in during their set.

skinny puppy: I've been waiting to see them for years. probably since 91 or 92. Another one of the bands I always wanted to see in highschool, but they broke up before I got to see them.
this incarnation was nivek ogre and cevin keys (plus two others I didn't know). Ogre came out in a mummy teradactyl looking suit with a heck of a lot of fake blood everywhere. there were TVs set up all over the back of the stage and camera on the stage that they flipped to (when not showing pictures of 3D animation or pictures of blown up bodies). in between songs, there were buckets of blood and blood-filled sports bottles off stage for ogre to cover himself in blood again. At one point, he spat fake-blood all over my girlfriend (in the pictures).
They started off with a bunch of new tracks which ogre danced around all weird too. I didn't know them AT ALL. Starting with the 5th song, they played a bunch of old songs (and only a few other new ones). Stripping off the mummy-teradactyl top, ogre started acting more like the older puppy videos I've seen (even compaining about how long it took to take off the fake blood). They played Inquisition (last rights), Tim Omen (rabies), Spahn Dirge (rabies), and one other older puppy tune that I couldn't place at the moment. It was great too see 300 other people all re-living their childhoods, singing along with the jaded-youth anthems. After 1 1/2 hrs of playing, they left the stage... but only for a minute. they came back and played two more older tracks for the encore; assimilate (bites) and testure (vivisectvi).

dood!! lovely pics! i'm just sad 'cos the closest they're coming to me is LA and i won't have the funds to fly over for the show =( ah well... next time...

i'm glad you went to this, i told you friday that you'd regret it if you didn't.

the funniest thing was on the way out, carina and I were shooting some pictures of the highway and I noticed someone walking by us. it was a kid who
1) is from my home town
2) went to jr highschool with me
2) went to highschool with me
3) went to the same college as me
4) now lives in the same town as me
and we were both as skinny puppy tonight.

MDD: they are coming around again

skinny puppy was so fucking awesome. one of the best shows i've seen. the stage setup was probably the best i've seen. the vids in the background were killer. i'm so glad they played a few songs off my favorite album of theirs vivisect vi. i was worried they were going to play way more new stuff. thankfully they didn't do too much.

i saw ogre spit the blood on carina haha.

the only thing that could have made that night better was if they played 2 songs...
twfo or hexonexox.
but that was seriously a dream come true.
I just realized that I've basically wanted to see them live for 1/2 my life.

i soooo did not see it coming...i saw buckets of the fake blood and ironically before it started aaron and i were saying...let's make sure to pay attention when he goes for that to move out of the way..

i think i got him back for spraying me because when he was moving all crazy i took out my fisheye and at a few points he was looking my way and appeared to almost fall on me and then i blinded him with my flash...i have NO CLUE how the pics came out though since my view finder was covered in blood.

ah well...why do these things always happen to me? if i'm not getting sprayed with blood i get singers jumping into my lap

oh and Ninkaszi, where were you standing? i turned around right before they came on and took a couple of pics facing the audience...but didn't see you..and since aaron is a lot taller, i know he was looking too.

i wasn't down on the floor too much. i was by myself on the left side of the stage, not too far away from the bar. it was a great place to stand and see everything while gothy girls danced around me trying to make me dance and steal my beer! shenanigans!

rev, vivisect vi isn't just one track, at least my copy. i don't know any of their albums that are just one long track.

when are they touring again? no way am i missing it.

when I find out more about the next tour, I'll post.

carina and I were way way way in the back on the left hand side for probably 40 minutes of the show. carina kept getting bumped into by fat gothy girls while she would have a her camera to her face. it was awesome cause then they would get blinded by her flash.

we were all around though...i usually like staying on the right side next to the bar right next to the backstage area since you can't stand there without a pass so it's not crowded, we also went upstairs where one of the bouncers i knew was and he let us into the VIP area to snap some pics where the "family" was hanging out.

i didn't wash the blood off either because i didn't want to miss part of the show..i got some funny looks because of it too..heh

and then when we walked around aaron was saying..."next time, don't talk back to me.." hahahaha
