Layoff for tour struck early....which snes rpg should I play? Bong and smoked salmon is at my command.

toggletoggle post by arktouros at May 31,2012 1:14pm
Chrono Trigger. Final Fantasy 3 US is equally classic, but the combat in CT is better imho.

toggletoggle post by chernobyl at May 31,2012 1:16pm
I have the iPhone version of FF3, I don't think I ever got around to playing it on snes (only played 5 and 6 as snes games) but its solid...I'd probably go with chrono trigger and I'd definitely go with the smoked salmon.

Speaking of which, I need to continue my FF6 journey again or continue from where I left off if I can find the memory save on my HDD.

FF3. Darker, longer, better.

Funny. I'm actually in the middle of chrono trigger right now. Amazing game. Love FF3 as well, but chrono trigger will always remain my favorite rpg

CT is a little overrated IMO

Nothin is sicker than Kefka poisoning the water and killing all the people of Doma Castle. He taught me that evil has no boundaries.

i went with ff3. 11 hours in. can't stop, won't stop.

Oh my hero, so far away now, will I ever see your smile? Love goes away, like night into day, just a fading dream. I'm the darkness, your the stars, our love is brighter than the sun. For eternity, for me it will be, just a fading dream.

Been pooping at work playing CT for the last week and a half. After playing this game many many times for the past 17 years, Zeal still blows my mind to this day.

Top 10 greatest video game of all time.

The answer is clearly Mystic Quest.

other than the music, that was a joke of an FF game. Music is incredible though

FF3 will entertain you for longer and is probably slightly better overall because its ideas are explored thoroughly, whereas Chrono Trigger has an even greater sense of atmosphere and inspiration at times but in some aspects doesn't have the cohesively versatile game going to the depth and detail of FF3, likely because FF3 was designed on the back of the already amazing (and in many ways best of all) FF2.

Both Chrono Trigger and FF3 are awesome and will take you to a different place, although Chrono Trigger does a slightly better visceral job of feeling like it takes to you different time as well.

Two excellent choices, though, and you probably picked the better one.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Feb 1,2013 9:45pm
Ff3 is much more difficult.

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Feb 1,2013 9:56pm
Agreed.

Every game should have New Game+

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Feb 2,2013 10:05am
Every RPG game should have a second player zapper for battle scenes while the first player sits there and gets pissed off. OK, not really, but it would be funny.

Chrono Trigger is my preferred.

toggletoggle post by eddie  at Feb 2,2013 2:16pm
ff3. if you want to get crazy its possible to beat the game at an average level of like 9.

toggletoggle post by eddie  at Feb 2,2013 2:19pm
