Three days a week I wake up at noon and work six grueling hours at Whole Foods. After work I grab a six pack of 'gansettes and head to my recording studio where I lay down some funky beats, or sometimes some soul-full acoustic music. Sometimes I jam on washboard with my neo-bluegrass outfit Hootenanny Ho-down Seven Eleven. Most of my friends think metal is a joke and I mostly go out of my way to reinforce their beliefs. Sometimes late at night I eat a whole pint of Ben & Jerry's out of guilt, then I retire to my studio and work on my raw black metal solo project Over the Heartmoon Cometh. I survive primarily on the trust fund my parents set up for me; Whole Foods is just for scene points. In my free time I listen to rare black metal tapes except when I'm with my friends and we listen to yacht rock because it's so ironic. The point is I'm just like all of you, and Robin Williams really captured that in the excellent NPR spot about MDF. Don't hate unless you hate the hateful.
