Anyone notice the amount of garbage music that litters Western Mass? I mean, i dont know all of the bands out there but it seems the only shows i ever see are filled with shitty plug bands with flat brim hats and short hair cuts playing breakdowns while running in place and jumping up and down. is there something in the water? i mean even the shitty metalcore bands from boston go out there to play with their fag buddies and have their faggets fests.

what about the promoters and bands of western mass. i'd say they are the ones to blame for the fact that i have not heard of any good shows in the area. seems like a shitty job at promotion to me man. how do you propose that i gain such knowledge when there appears to be no evidence of said promotion?

in fact the only people from western mass that seem to be doing a good job at promoting are all the brocore breakdown bands so in fact i would say its rather a great representation of the music in the area

Also, promoters can only do so much. Sometimes you have to take a bit of initiative to find out where they promote if you actually give a shit. Or better yet, find out about one good band in your area and the rest falls into place.

They used to be the shit then they did there epic fail show at Flywheel. Debuted a new lineup and did half a song before the whole crowd left and they were left sounding like shit to five people. Suckfest. Then they went around telling everyone in the scene it didn't matter anyways because it was just a warmup show for Europe. Arrogant pricks now fuck them now.

If you dont know Dad City you don't know shit about the scene in W. Mass. All the sick shows go down there and its mad chill. I've seen some of bands just tear that place apart, so fucking epic and no brocore bullshit there.

The best band around here now is Vaccine. If your in W. Mass srsly go out of your way to see there set. Plenty of other sick bands here now just go to the good shows and stay away from all the shit venues.
