New site? Maybe some day.
I like when people say fuck the haters when I don't remember any active haters. |
OP is probably the guy from Stasis |
this band is good. new drummer adds a lot. |
Not bad , just listened to a few songs . |
ZOMG U GAIZ BLESSED OFFAL IS THE BEST BAND PERIOD IN ANY STATE RIGHT NOW. I SHOULD KNOW CUZ ITZ MY BAND, FUCK HATARZ |
Listened. Not my thing. Doesn't mean they suck. But yeah this is pretty obviously just someone from the band samefag-ing. Lame. |
this is conqueerthebaphomets new band |
Wait...no...OP is someone pretending to be a troll of MK |
I think it's funny that people feel like defending a band's sound will change everyone's mind.
That said, I have yet to hear Stasis and will reserve my opinion until I do. |
Never seen this band live or even heard of them for that matter. First song I listened to was ok. The next was not doom at all. The next had soft emo parts to show how diverse they are. Band is decent but far from the best anything. There are better doom bands from Maine (like Ocean for example) let alone the rest of New England. Not a hater, just being honest. |
they put on a sweet show at obs last week. |
Blood honey is godly. An amazing band |

I wish Ocean was still around. Pantheon Of The Lesser is slowly becoming one of my favorite albums of all time. |

He really adds a strong Christian message and attitude to the band. |
I never knew MillenialKingdom could play drums. Is he any good? Havent heard this band yet. |
MK's skill level is the same as Jesus' skill level. |
the tracks on reverbnation all sound like drum machine and they are a lot faster than live. |

Nailed it. Ocean rules. |

Once saw them perform "Beacon" live at the old Drifter's club in Nashua. Mind was blown. |
Ocean does rule. My old band played with them at Bombshelter several years ago. Good dudes. I think the album I have is "Where Nothing Grows" -- I have to be in the mood for it, but it is crushing in an epic manner. |
The other Ocean band not from maine is mind numbingly boring. |
The non-Maine Ocean is definitely terrible. |
I like Precambrian a lot but their other stuff is boring. They were good live when I saw then at Church a few years ago. |

I was at that show, and I agree that they were very good live. |

Every time I go into Newbury Comics they have 'The Ocean' and 'Ocean' together in the same section. Bugs me for some reason. Also, kinda funny that the singer's name is Candy. |

I'm of the opinion that "Here Where Nothing Grows" is one of the best recordings to come out of New England. Caught the record release show at O'Briens and I'm pretty sure they played said album in it's entirety. It was one hell of a performance. |
I like how this has turned into a thread about Ocean. |
The ocean sent a letter to ocean saying that they should change their name. There is one good the ocean cd and then the others are TERRIBLE. Good stuff live. It's like isis meets protest the hero meets old cave in. I guess like old mans gloom maybe. |
Someone should link to oceans discog. I only have the full length on important. I don't have any of the. Stuff for the oil. Drum. |

That's their last album "Pantheon Of The Lesser," which consists of two songs clocking in right around an hour and is an absolute fucking masterpiece (if you're receptive to that sort of thing).

This is their first demo (I think). Two songs, considerably shorter than the HWNG/POTL material and a bit faster but still pretty solid.
There's also a song from a split with Lesbian and a song from a split with Conifer that are eluding me currently, but the above should satiate any lingering hunger for the moment. |

Ocean from Maine was one of the best bands, if not the best, of that particular doom style.
The Ocean from wherever in Europe was basically nu-metal with some metalcore parts. I walked out when they played at Oasis. Awful. |
Uh, I hardly post here anymore so this wasn't me.
I haven't recorded with this band yet so all drum tracks were recorded by former members. New EP should be out some time later this year. I have posted videos from the last couple shows on here somewhere. |
Dig it, b. gotta get you down to CT to making fuck |
not the best band in New England, this thread is bullshit, quit all this dick swashbuckling, and acceptable faggotry. |
I prefer taboo faggotries |
