Is he taking away some sort of intrinsic value of the genre? I'm disgusted by your attitude, as you've really lost sight on the underlying element of metal beliefs. I'm sorry - I don't see any justification of some fool wearing corpse paint to a slam show, prog show, or any other metal show for that matter. That is plain moronic. You are right of the underlying value of freedom behind metal, but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed.

Also, you're wrong there. I think corpsepaint is retarded and should not be used with anything, including black metal. Black metal isn't supposed to be known for its live shows, either. Corpse paint should have went away with the 2nd wave.

This has nothing to do with metal music, per se. Because of this, most will view it as a non-issue (which it is, in most regards.)
