I have not done any research at all since the Super Bowl. Looks like I wont be of use for a while.

Tons of jerking off about all the LB and DE/DL workouts. Film at 11.

I'm gonna say 2 words: Chandler Jones.

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Feb 28,2012 9:20pm
Also I'm not jumping on the Dontari Poe bandwagon. He's a freak, but when I saw him play I said the same thing that the skeptics are saying now. He takes too many plays off. Not saying he can't be a good NFL player, but someone is going to over draft/over pay for him and that's fine by me.

Also, I know the Pats double dipped on runningbacks last year but I'm intrigued as hell by Doug Martin from Boise State. He's gonna get the run around from scouts and analysts because of his height but he's 5-9 223 lbs, ran a 4.47, 28 bench reps, 36" vert, 43 TDs in 3 years as a starter, 1200+ yards in both his junior and senior years.

If the Pats can't avoid over paying for Green Ellis then this guy is a must.

I wasn't impressed with what I saw of Jones.

Don Banks had the Jets grabbing him at #16 overall. I loled.

toggletoggle post by RustyPS  at Apr 20,2012 8:30am
I do really like Doug Martin though. IMO, he's the #2 RB in this draft behind Richardson.

toggletoggle post by mikexmike at Apr 20,2012 8:35am
I'm pretty sure the secret is out on Martin now. Some mocks have him going in the bottom of the first, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Giants grabbed him to handcuff Amad Bradshaw. Then again I don't think they have a single healthy tight end on their roster either.

The safety class is an absolute mindfuck. You've got 2 or 3 draftable guys followed by a bunch of mid-late round box safeties with lead feet who can't tackle anybody.

Guys I am very high on that not everyone is necessarily talking about:
-Alameda Ta'amu, DT, Washington (anyone who "Likes" Patskrieg.com on Facebook knows I have a mancrush on this guy)
-Juron Criner, WR, Arizona (to me, he looks A LOT like Damian Williams when he was coming out of USC)
-Brandon Thompson, DL, Clemson (Mike obviously agrees he's a damn good player)
-Harrison Smith, S, Notre Dame (honestly, I like him better than Barron)
-Shea McClellin, DE/OLB, Boise St. (he's getting some buzz now though)
-Jayron Hosley, CB, Virginia Tech
-Lavonte David, LB, Nebraska
-Joe Adams, WR, Arkansas
-T.Y. Hilton, WR, Fla International
-Johnathan Massaquoi, DE/OLB, Troy (wears #94, DeMarcus Ware's number....so maybe that has blinded my judgement on an OLB from Troy lol)
-Mike Martin, DL, Michigan (he looks like Mike Wright to me)
-Jared Crick, DL, Nebraska (would be much higher on people's boards if it weren't for injury)

We know the Pats won't stay pat, especially since they only have 6 picks, but I hope they do because they could possibly pull a damn good player at each slot. Now, if they decided to trade UP for an Ingram or a Cox, well that would just be the bee's knees right there.

First thing's first I think they should hire Morris Claiborne as the team accountant.

toggletoggle post by Dankill at Apr 21,2012 4:13pm
Rusty's mancrush on Ta'amu is legit. I'd have the Pats take a crack at him at the bottom of the 2nd round. Criner is interesting with the footage I've seen online. Harrison Smith has shot up to a bottom 1st/top 2nd guy and I like what I see with him. Shea McClellin has that word that Belichick goes nuts for. Versatility. Massaquoi and Crick were two guys I heard a lot about a while before the Combine and have sense fallen off people's radars. Crick with his injuries and I dunno why with Massaquoi.

http://patskrieg.com/ MOAR INFORMATION!

toggletoggle post by RustyPS  at Apr 25,2012 9:54am
McClellin seems to be the new popular pick for the Pats at 27.

You know what that means? TRADE INTO THE 4TH ROUND FOR 5 DRAFT PICKS

I think the reason Ta'amu isn't as high on a lot of people's draft boards is lack of composure compared to a lot of higher rated prospects. He's a good gap stuffer and pocket pusher, but he gets himself spun around and his shoulders twisted up a lot. He could explode at the next level but his game is a little chaotic right now.

Prob will be dead wrong, but whatev

Crazy things in Walter's new mock:
-Melvin Ingram falls to the Titans at #20, behind both Chandler Jones at #18 to the Chargers and Whitney Mercilus at #19 to the Bears. Related note: Courtney Upshaw goes at #21 to the Bengals, so Walter is predicting a 4-pick run of pass rushers, with Ingram in the middle of that pack.
-Houston takes Bruce Irvin at #26.
