there is not enough bands out there, metal or not, that you can tell they've gone over every note with a fine tooth comb

I used to listen to these guys quite a bit. There's a studio mistake on the album. You can hear the songs end but not before a 5 second fade out. Thats my fun fact there. I just get tired of hearing the same 6 riffs recycled in the song totaling 6:28. THe first Darkane album was all about precision.
