Welcome to the new Fugazi Live archive! We are up and running but still adjusting to new traffic patterns. We do expect some bumps along the road as traffic spikes and the site adjusts so don't be alarmed if you experience sluggish performance or navigation miscues from time to time. As more traffic data comes through we will be making adjustments accordingly.
Between 1987 and 2003, Fugazi
played over 1000 concerts in all 50 states and all over the world. Over 800 of these shows were recorded by the band's sound engineers. The goal of this project is to make each of these recordings available to download for a small fee. We will start with 130 shows and release more monthly until we're done. A searchable archive lists each show along with available photos, flyers and general show info. Each listing with a download offers a streaming preview of material for sound quality as well as the reading and posting of comments on the show and the recording.

i went to a fugazi concert once with some punk friends, in like 1990. we were under the assumption that dude from minor threat's new band would sound like minor threat. serious disappointment.

and confusion. i had never heard music like that before. all i knew is i never wanted to hear it again. WORST BAND.

I think I saw them somewhere in Providence, christ must've been like 18 years ago. Not memorable.

The only Fugazi song I ever liked:

bennyhillifier

and I don't care what it sounded like live. Do a documentary about it.

toggletoggle post by CurlyRed at Dec 3,2011 10:06am
I use to listen to fugazi a lot (on tape)

toggletoggle post by Lysander at Dec 3,2011 12:42pm
We still hold that these 100 live shows, no matter the quality or performance, are better than anything else ever endorsed or discussed on this site, ever.

I hadn't even clicked on this thread until now because it's about Fugazi, thankfully most other people here think they suck as badly as I do.

I had bought The Argument as a freshman in high school or something like that... I think around that time it had actually just come out. I listened to it a fair amount back then but it's not something I've been able to go back to ever or anything. Coupled with my current opinion of Ian Mackaye, I don't think I will be going back...

Gorilla Biscuits is really bad actually, yeah.

I used to dig the self-titled for a while. Start Today blows.

Exactly. No band talked about on this forum could even hope to touch this level of intensity live.
