New site? Maybe some day.

So I've noticed they've got distribution for the print version of the Onion in Providence now at a few spots and supposedly in Warwick too, basically the same way you get a regular newspaper. Open up the box, take one for free.
Are there any other New England cities where this is sprouting up? Really cool. |
|
Awesome. i'll be on the lookout for that. |

Yeah, but did it have this kind of distribution around here before? Hell no, otherwise I would have known about it.
I knew these things existed in Madison, but I wonder how many other cities out there are doing it? |

before they figured out how to put tubes in a series |
|
oh it was decently distroed in mass i guess then |
|
THE ONION HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN PRINT. HAVEN'T YOU SEEN THE ARCHIVES? |
|
You fucking idiots. I'm talking about this shit, you cunts.
You think I don't know the god damn Onion has always been in print when it's been around longer than the Internet? |
|
Haha, well that book is a mockery of olden times, the Onion started in 1989 for real.

I have a big stack of old ones from when I would grab one every thursday in NYC. Don't know why I saved em they just take up space now. I used to grab em cuz I didnt even know it was a big thing, like on the internet and what have you, I thought it was just NY. |

They used to release a year's worth of issues at a time in book collections. My mom got me one when I was 15 for Christmas and I was hooked on it forever. I used to buy the new ones whenever they came out, but they stopped doing the collections and kind of changed the layout of the site too... I think the only time I ever saw print versions was when I went to the Flywheel. |
