Polish technical death metal band Decapitated have pulled out of the upcoming Damnation Festival in Leeds and the Aalborg Metal Festival due to a plane crash. Apparently, the band was on a flight back to Poland from the U.S. and was forced to make an emergency landing in Warsaw when landing gear failed. Miraculously, no one was killed.

Ulver has agreed to fill in by extending the band's set to 90 minutes.

Decapitated will now be booking 8 months further in advanced, as we will now be walking/swimming to all gigs.

Actually, how about from now on for shows, you guys all just come to Poland? I think it's best for everybody.

We will be making an official statement next week - but to let you all in early:

Decapitated, due to a recent bit of bad luck, will be changing our band's name to "Whacked with a Pillow". We figure the name change will be better for our Karma.
