ANIMALS AS LEADERS Debut New Track, Launch Fourth Studio Video

ANIMALS AS LEADERS have debuted a brand new track, "Somnarium," exclusively at LAWeekly.com. The song comes from their upcoming album, "Weightless," which will be released next Tuesday, November 8th in N. America and November 4th and 7th in Europe and the UK, respectively. The instrumental prog-powerhouse unveiled their fourth behind the scenes studio video yesterday at Skullcandy's blog. Look for more tracks to premiere throughout the week.

"Weightless" marks the recording debuts of drummer Navene Koperweis, who spearheaded the production of the album, and guitarist Javier Reyes, who mixed the album. The tracks "Isolated Incidents" and "Odessa" can be streamed now at Prosthetic Records' webstore, where the official pre-order is underway.

ANIMALS AS LEADERS are out now on an extensive N. American trek with Between The Buried And Me tomorrow. A complete list of upcoming dates can be found below. ANIMALS AS LEADERS was initially the moniker under which virtuoso guitarist Tosin Abasi chose to release his groundbreaking 2009 solo debut, but it quickly became a full-fledged band that wowed crowds on tour with the likes of Circa Survive, Underoath, The Dillinger Escape Plan and many more. Their video for "CAFO" has been viewed on YouTube well over one million times. Steve Vai has called ANIMALS AS LEADERS "the future of creative, heavy, virtuoso guitar," while MetalSucks recently ranked Abasi #2 on their list of the Top 25 Modern Metal guitarists.

Just saw this band on Sunday. They played the new "Isolated Incidents". Very good band live. I was more impressed with their drummer than anyone else.
