We've been getting a lot of questions as to, "why weren't you there when I showed up?".
A bunch of people lurk/post on this forum, so this is why:
We're not jerks, but leaving the show felt justified.
The line-up was already pretty packed and rippled concern throughout a bunch of the bands already playing.
A starting time of 5:30 and a PROMPT end time of 11:30 makes things feel pretty hectic even just reading it. Anyways, we had gotten word that 5:30 had rolled around and the promotor of the show hadn't even shown up with the PA. We were still stuck in NY traffic.
When we arrived (roughly around 10) we were informed multiple bands had dropped off and that the show was already behind schedule. A fellow named Cam from one of the bands had taken on the responsibility of the ENTIRE show on himself and was doing his best to keep things rolling.
This would result in 20 minute sets with a 5 (yes, 5) minute break-down-set-up times in between to fit in the final FOUR to FIVE bands.
With the current band playing a set which was already running well over 30 minutes, we did the math and knew we would hardly get a set or would have been squeezed out of the show altogether (we were supposed to play last).
We were tired, we were discouraged and we had sat in cars a lot longer than most of us would have prefered on a trip home from NY; so we decided to leave and rest before we had to get back to our jobs the following morning.
Our apologies to the bands we missed and all of our friends who arrived late/left early/or stuck around to see us, but as we get wind of random fat girlfriend having Gio Series owning nerdarios pointing fingers at us and calling us names for something that really doesn't merit the defamation, ask yourself this:
Did your dad eat your dad? |

But how was Still Well Angel? |
|
Oh, you mean...

Cam from carnivora is the man. |

The start time for this show was actually changed to 4:30 (without telling anyone until the day before) so when I texted you guys at 5:30 and nothing has started, it was actually already an hour behind. This is why we made the decision to turn right back around and go home.
We were the first band booked on this bill, and we were told it was going to be 6 bands, so... |

I was there at 4:30 without knowing it was starting then in the 1st place. There were 3 bands there and no promoter at all....6pm rolls around and some bands had already left and said fuck it, we were close to doing so too and then cam organized the show and did a great job. I don't blame any bands for leaving and completely understand, the promoter never showed up and gave us all a big fuck you. Never booking with that guy again
