New site? Maybe some day.

Looking to sell or trade a couple of axes....
First up is a Jackson SLSMG. This is a Japanese neckthru model, and one of the few string-through Soloists Jackson makes. Mahogany body, maple neck, ebony board. Has a Dimarzio Tone Zone in the bridge and GFS Dream 180 in the neck. Needs new knobs, I never bothered to replace them.
The other guitar is a 1988-1990 (not sure exactly) Carvin DC125. USA made, neckthru, all maple, abalone dot inlays. The owner prior to me stripped the paint and threw the Jackson logo on. Has a Duncan Custom Custom in the bridge. Needs a refret, so this is definitely a great project candidate...I've just always liked the finish as is (tung oiled, btw).
I'm willing to sell or trade either of these. Looking for $500 for the Jackson and $300 for the Carvin. As far as trades go, I'm looking for something of comparable quality but less metal, really. Feel free to PM me or send an email to sinistas AT gmail. Thanks! |

What's wrong with "beat up"? As long as it's nothing that gets in the way of stability or tone, who gives a flying fuck? |
most of the weathered instruments i have played felt infinitely better than 99.99999% of the new instruments i have messed with... |

Thanks for bumping my thread, anonguy! lol |

Just bought a 1970 LP deluxe BEAT TO SHIT....for cheap...Whats wrong with beat up guitars...this is the best guitar ive played ever ...Period |
My dad had a customshop lefty '71 Deluxe Goldtop. Badass guitar.
FTR, the Carvin sounds killer and the Jackson is far from "beat up". Besides the knobs it's got normal wear. |
im into the carvin A LOT, just cant be dropping dough into a guitar repair when ive too many amps to get brought up to snuff. |
is that actually a jackson neck with a carvin body? you say it just has the jackson logo but it looks like a jackson headstock, not a carvin headstock.
In the late '80s Carvin briefly used that headstock before being sued by Jackson.
Carvin recently brought back the pointy headstock style too. |
Yes, although it's their 91/92-style pointy.
...and the Jackson is gone. Thanks again, Anonguy...within a week and a half I got rid of both! |
