woah bold statement wasnt at the show but dang. ya should have seen them like 5 years ago before the put out an album on vinyl and every one got all hibabidy bibady bout dem
Thought The Body was killer last night. Chip singing OVER those fucking amps was very impressive. Last time I saw them with Christian Mistress in PVD three days after having my appendix out, I literally had to stand outside for fear of my stitches / stomach falling the fuck apart. Nothing boring there. Highly recommended. Wish I could see this again tonight. Last night was DEADLY! Thou was awesome, to boot!
Hmmm. I really dig The Body on record. Live, though... Those vocals without the aid of a PA.... utterly impressive. Like, I couldn't believe homeboy was audible above those amps. So phat!
I forgot to say that I'm working on pictures.
This show turned out so awesome.
Tons of people, the bands were all top shelf, the venue was super nice, and it was over way early.

Seeing The Body all the time after smoking up made living in Providence RI almost worth it.
Show was awesome last night. For some reason I was expecting doom but got sludge instead. Nothing wrong with that. The Body was amazing, I wish I had enough cash for a couple of their CDs. I really liked them and Thou. It was cool going to a show that got moved at the last minute yet there was still a crap load of people there.
I really do hope they have shows again at that place.
There were a ton of hipsters, but that is to be expected at a show in a coffeehouse. I know this has been mentioned, but the guy from The Body is just too powerful to even need a microphone and that alone is definitely worth seeing live. The guy doing vocals for Thou... well the pictures show how intense he was.

its unfortunate that you're still alive, and still feel the need to post in this forum.
Asked someone's uncle murry fr his review, it would be much worse. I thought the review was cynical, but funny. I can see their view point, but I thought the show was really good. Plus, like I said, hipsters bring money and money brings more shows.. so... as long as they are getting cum in their ironic mustache in exchange for adderall/pabst in front of me, who cares.
People had to have known that this was the kind of show that could attract hipsters. I think the "fuck hipsters" crowd goes out looking for a bad time. Stupid stuff.
I wasnt thinking either interview was spot on with how i wouldve perceived it. Obviously the same bands wouldve been heard by me. Makes me wonder if it was a great show regardless of the fact that a bunch of people that dress and act different than me are there. Only paying attention to the important things is real.

I was thinking the exact same thing after reading this review.
I'm guessing the guy who wrote it was someone older who just keeps in touch with his own set crowd of people and not the big picture.
And who the hell goes to a show and says "The bands were pretty cool" and then says they made a mistake by going because of who was in the crowd anyway? Fucking posers.
Lamp, haha yeah I actually am older and do keep in touch with my own set crowd, which is exactly why my live review was so bitchy.
I liked the Body and Thou, but my mistake was not going to Ralph's on Thursday. I figured I had time for one show and as someone who prefers black/death over drone/sludge I really should have known better and went to Worcester.
Making fun of hipsters is my way of facetiously hiding the fact that I can't write reviews, but its not meant to be taken seriously.
I wasn't at this show or anything, but I've seen Thou and the Body on separate occasions (the Body multiple times, Thou only once, don't think the two bands were on the same show) and pretty much would have known what to expect.

There were two bands before the body, what an awful review.

no one mentions the Thou vocalist going crazy because people were knocking him over and trying to fight some unrelated guy. Then when he says "you don't even know... may as well be whipping out your dicks" someone says "It's called moshing" I laughed.
That was funny he seemed pissed when his mic got knocked out and then turned around and kicked at someone. Then said blah blah blah moshing into a 31 year old.
I was going to point out the fact that there were 2 bands, but from the review I knew he wouldn't care.
