I could get all Patrick Bateman-Huey Lewis about how the emotion is not as tangible in this video compared to early-era Rebecca Black and the difference in how the public will receive her this time, but I honestly think this song is about a girl getting her first period at a school dance. And her voice is still as sharp as diarrhea.
^^^That always bugged me about shitty pop videos too.
On another note... mad at myself for wasting the minute I spent watching this shitty pop video before my gag reflex kicked in and made me close the window.
Time and again, I see / hear this junk and feel bad for real musicians and vocalists. She does not deserve any of this attention. She didn't work for shit. She hasn't even earned this criticism. While people who have put their blood and sweat into their music are robbed of both the praise and/or criticism they have truly earned, kids with rich parents can buy their way into fame and without so much as lifting a finger. Sad. Consider this my rant in favor of all the people on this board and elsewhere (both talented and talentless) who play instruments, write music, come up with the vocals, pay for or record your own demos etc, and still have to find time to promote yourselves and book shows.
Have faith. This little girl will be doing time in a cell next to Lindsey Lohan before long.
