The best seth story was someone pissing beside him at the chopping block and they were a little scared. They expected something to happen, but were completely shocked when seth washed his hands after.
RIP. He's blowing lines up in Heaven with Hitler and Macho Man Randy Savage.
In before someone photoshops an image of this.

Morbid Florist was the first record that made me say, "hey, that's a crazy noise, wonder if I could do that?" - and then spit up weird yellow-brown chunks for weeks after. R. I. YOU'RE GAY P.

If this is really true than goddamn. I just listened to Fuckin A like, 2 horus ago.
Rev, the first time I met you was through Seth Putnam. I remember talking to you while Seth started screaming at the Six Feet Under tour bus in Providence.
Seth Putnam "I died two additional times after I was in the coma a few years ago"
In my interview with Anal Cunt frontman, Seth Putnam, yesterday, I mistakenlymadethecomment that I thought he was off drugs. An obviously annoyed Seth quipped "What fucking gives you that idea? Who said that? That is bullshit. I am stillsnorting and haven't stopped anything. I am using more now as I have learned how to handle them better and I can control my reactions better. I am not doing a ridiculous amount of coke anymore, well actually I recently shot a gram of really good coke and got more fucked up than I ever have in my life. Every now and then I end up doing more than I ever have in my life. Every day is different."
At that moment in the conversation, Seth began taking what was laterrevealed to bespeedchased with alcohol.
"The secret to taking heavy drugs is just not O.D.ing. I died two additional times after I was in the coma a few years ago. I have been legally dead four times. I was physically pronounced dead by a physician. I can't be killed."
I have heard of people dying and seeing stuff. NikkiSixxstated hesaw lightswhen hedied from an
"I didn't see shit. Not a god damned thing. Either I am going to hell or there is not a thing after
Many people see the light and then find God or come to some spiritual awakening in their life.
"If I saw something, a light or God when I am dead, I wouldn't change a thing. If God talked to me, I think he'd say he believes in what I am doing. He has me here for a reason and hasn't taken me yet. He must want me to keep doing the same shit I have been doing."
Fuckin' A will be released on January 11th, 2011, and promises to kick off the New Year with one hell of a bang. The record will be distributed by PATAC RECORDS (USA) and Trendkill Entertainment (Europe), and will first be available on CD (and include a signed copy of the now-infamous "Seth Putnam's heroin blowjob" photo). An expanded vinyl version will be released later this spring, and the band are already plotting North American and European live actions for 2011!

Seriously, "the internet is a cruel place for the recently deceased?" Only because of people like Seth! If anyone else died today Seth would write a song about pissing on their grave. It would include lyrics about how sad and pathetic their death was. so in honor of him I think someone should write a song called "Heart attacks only kill posers" , "Heart attacks only kill pussies", or something to that effect. It's what seth would have done. We all know it.

He wouldnt have done that cuz he didn't give a rats ass about random people. He was kind, funny, and really just a great guy. With some major demons. RIP

I remember walking into this backroom and seeing Seth, and then telling Tiny, "I think he's dead."
First time ever seeing AxCx, IDN played with them at Bill's Bar. He got on stage and made fun of us for apparently listening to too much Dillinger Escape Plan. We cheered.
Last November Full Blown AIDS played a show out here with Antiseen, after the show me Seth and Dan went to eat at this pub/restaurant, where Seth dropped his pants to show our waitress his Angry Hate shamrock tattoo. He later asked her how many abortions she'd had. It was awesome.
First time I ever saw AC was at The Rat 9/95 w/Nightstick, Krapper Keeper, and Insult. Faith No More were in the audience.
I Remember this show.Krapper Keeper were one of the weirder bands we ever played with (Seth brought them up), Faith No More were playing on landsdowne st I think, Seth was totally psyched they came to check out AC. That brings back some memories for sure, we played with AC so many times back then they kind of all blend in to each other, Krapper Keeper was a standout though.
Seth and I had a ton of laughs over the years, he will be missed.RIP Seth.

1st and last time i saw them i think was at bills bar very vage memory if its true it sucks
The best seth story was someone pissing beside him at the chopping block and they were a little scared. They expected something to happen, but were completely shocked when seth washed his hands after.
the only interaction i had with Seth was similar. i was waiting to piss at Wadzilla and he was the only other person in the room waiting in line, i talked to him and he was very friendly and laid back. he took forever, came out drying his hands, some hipster cunt asked him what took him so long, and he told her he had a shy bladder and had diarrhea all day.
Even before A.C. started, I was a pretty well-known asshole around here, especially tormenting bands when they were playing and getting into fights with Possessed when they came, and wearing John Travolta suits when Wargasm played and "break dance" during the whole show and stuff like that. They 'd be totally mad and wouldn't want to finish playing. I just made it more of an international level kind of thing, being a dick to everyone across the planet.

No jokes this time. Favorite memory #11 is Seth singing Satanic Speed Metal on stage with Deceased at O'Briens, there were about 25 people there by that point and everyone was so happy.
the first time i saw AC was at the Centrum opening for Pantera and White Zombie in 96. aside from the Espresso Bar they were technically the first live band i had ever seen at a big show, and the guitar was so loud i thought my ears were going to bleed. i just remember "311 Sucks" and Seth doing that weird rap thing.
I know I've told this here before, but one of my fav Seth moments:
AC played a birthday party show in JP booked by a band that would eventually produce 2 dudes in Revocation, but at the time were just little kids. One of the earlier bands brought this big elaborate PA, but when somebody's dad showed up and saw Seth Putnam stumbling out of his car, he took his son home and the PA with them. Meanwhile Josh Martin was lost somewhere in Dorchester, and Seth was trying to figure out how to play without him. His whole plan went to shit when he walked inside and saw that the nice PA from earlier was gone, and he was going to have to sing out of a combo amp. He started to get pissed, but even the biggest asshole in the world couldn't bring himself to yell at little kids that loved his band that much.
Finally he gets on stage with a borrowed throw-away knock off Warlock that he's trying to tune down to A, and asks "Can I at least get a fuckin mic stand?" One of the kids booking the show finds a mic stand with a broken clip, and suggests to Seth "maybe we can tie it on with a cable."
Seth sighs, puts the guitar down, shakes the kid's hand and says "This is the most professional show I've ever played."
First time I saw AxCx was At Green St Station. w/ Phlegm, Vital Remains, Disrupt...on a Sunday afternoon.. to about 5 people..Good times

I was never into AC's stuff but who really says "fuck man, AC is my favorite band!" The world lost one of it's best, most offensive and most real assets. Rest in penises.

I remember seeing Seth punch an sxe kid in the face. At least i thought it was an sxe kvlter
in NYC in Oct 2006 when CNV played with AxCx, Seth was out of his coma walking around with his cane with three or four broads following him around back stage. he had a nice glowing smirk on his face
Best Seth Story I got was when Seth was down Hanging with Fleet and Company from Phlegm At church house Inn the day they played with Carcass and Death. While Phlegm is Playing Fleet is trying to get the crowd going so yells into the mic "move around you faggot". Seth from the crowd yells "move around on stage you fuckin homos". Fleet then tells everyone to jump on this guy which of course everydoes and starts to knock the shit out of Seth. Fleet has to get down from the stage, break it up, and tell everyone it was a fucking joke the guy is his freind..

Wake and Funeral arrangements? I can't imagine that if this shit is public it won't be fucking epic with this scene, jus sayin...
the last time they actually played at Oasis i thought they sounded awesome. they had their shit together. then the next time they were supposed to play he busted that girl's head and all hell broke loose.

Standing upstairs at the second metal fest, Jamey Jasta says "a call for blood on those guys" pointing at me. I look around and seth and who ever are standing around me flipping off the stage. I went downstairs to check out the the homo misfits.
A friend of mine has the video of the Seth/Hatebreed fight. After everything dies down the cops come in, look around at a bunch of hardcore goons and angry metal guys, grab the one mild mannered black guy who was obviously minding his own business and drag him out.

Slim chance on getting a copy of the video, but I'll ask next time I see the dude

Never met the man, but I hear one time he stood in Johnny H's driveway and looked angry at the suburbs in general.
Also, when AxCx played that surprise set at Great Scott's with Eyehategod, and Seth was in a wheelchair or had the walker and he was screaming at that terrible Byzantine band. The most satisfying heckling I've ever heard.
Seth and his wife stayed at my house once when I lived in Manchester. He had a falling out with Insult after playing a set and ended up stranded. I gave them a place to crash and drove them back the next morning. He was upset that I didn't have any "real" drugs, but all-in-all was a pretty nice dude. RIP.
I can't believe no one has told the story about seth paying a guy $10 so he could kick him in the face. I think it was around 2001 at the middle east.
I was there. 2000. scary, but good show. he ended up buying the guy a drink. I always thought that was alex onslaught that he asked that too. I think there was something else about paying someone $20 to punch someone else in the face.

I was at that show too. Nick Kevorkian untied Seth's sneaker while he had it up on the monitor. Seth tried to kick him and missed. Nick kept yelling "haha, you missed". this was before Nick and John joined him for You're Fired.
I think it was Mike McCarthy that punched some kid in the face, then mad people bought the kid beer, he seemed pretty siked.

Yeah, it was an awesome show - totally spun my fucking head around. You guys were awesome, especially when you did "Charles In Charge".
Next time I saw AxCx was downstairs at the MidEast - late 1995 - with Eyehategod, John Kozik on guitar. Tim Morse instructed me to yell "Tim Is A Faggot" after every song. I was young and stupid so I obliged. They played "Harvey Korman Is Gay" for me.
Saw one of the Angry Hate shows at O'Brien's - 2003 or 2004 - not the one where tables got broken. Seth told me later he was in a blackout the whole time. Larry Lifeless sounded like he was the air getting let out of a balloon really slowly. They were stunningly brilliant - and sounded like Venom trying to butt fuck The Art Ensemble of Chicago. The now legendary Primordial Dwarf (a joke band that only half the members were in on - one of the dudes used to post on TNB - and the drummer was well over 50 and playing what Tm Morse would call a "Milwaukee Metal Fest" sized drum kit that took up the entire stage at OB's) supported and Seth shouted at them the single greatest heckle I have ever heard at a Boston show: "HEY YOU GUYS ARE PRETTY GOOD!"
Also saw FULL BLOWN A.I.D.S. at The Choppin' Block - 2004 or 2005 - with Rob Williams in full black face and Afro wig. Drug War supported, and Rick Berlin (!) was in the audience.
Booked AxCx three times at Church but did not see any of the shows. Scares me a bit to think that we hosted the last local show...
Good night Seth. Sorry you didn't live to see the Village People "Sleazy" recording session footage that Craig MacNeil found...
This is incredible: http://www.hellbound.ca/2011/06/seth-putnam-the-hellbound-interview/
After you came out of the coma and started to recover did you ever consider changing your life? That wasn’t destined to be?
The minute I woke up I asked my girlfriend to go to the liquor store. She wouldn’t go and I was like “stop being a cunt and go to the liquor store.” So I said “get me out of bed” and I’ll go and I realized I couldn’t move any part of my body. After being in the hospital my friend took me in a wheelchair to a bar. I had a bunch of drinks. The coolest day after that was when I smoked a bunch of crack. It was the first time I’d done crack in almost a year.
:( sad wake Ill be tired as shit but I'm gonna make it then after the wake Josh might come to good life to see Livver you all should too there will be pussy.
I'm really gonna miss running into Seth... When is the wake tonight??
BTW, I wasn't involved in the onstage antics from the show at the ME in 2000... Dunno who the dude was who was rewarded for taking a kick with a fresh $20 bill, but it WAS Mike McCarthy who slid in out of nowhere and hit Keith "KK" Browder in the face when Seth offered $50 for that prize. Of course, there was no $50 forthcoming. I did get in a fight during the closer, "Gloves Of Metal", though... Keith and I walked out with matching shiners haha... What a show.

I was in the back of where the circle pit kept happening, stage right.
I don't remember who seth punched or who punched who but I do remember that we got totally banned from the Middle East for that show. I think it was the swastika armband that really pissed em off. It was over 9 years before they let us play there again.
seth was my friend he was a good man if you knew the person you were blessed if you proffesed to be his "friend" and helped him destruct you are probrobly not blessed ......
HA! I never heard that before. As for Jim Norton, no wonder he always votes for Pantera over Slayer on That Metal Show. nuff said
They have mentioned AC various other times.. I am listening to a old clip now and they mention ac during a loverboy discussion.

I didn't write this but its pretty well said. Everything is gay now. The worst thing that could happen to you at a show now is some dumbass stagediver falling on your head. Gay.
"So what's actually extreme to you? I mean, we all like extreme music, right? You're on a blog about extreme music, you talk about it with your friends, you go to shows where extreme bands play- you're involved in extremity, right? Well, how extreme is it really? A lot of your 'extreme' bands get sold in record shops alongside Celine Dion. You never have to worry about your safety when you go to one of those supposedly 'extreme' shows. Hell, no one's even bothered by death and black metal anymore- they're as much a commodity as any other previously underground genre of music. Your fake rebellion is getting repackaged and sold back to you by wealthy people who've never even been to a show where extreme bands played.
At an Anal Cunt show, all of that bullshit got turned over and dropped on its head like an unhappy father with a screaming baby in his arms. At an Anal Cunt show, there was just as much chance of you having a good time as there was you getting the shit beaten out of you by one or more staggering drunks in the crowd or on stage. The threat and the extremity was very real; songs composed of either blasting, frantic noise or some of the most devastating, hard-bitten power violence you've ever heard were the perfect soundtrack to the threat of getting your face kicked in by someone.
And the person typically doing the face-kicking? Seth Putnam, who died yesterday at 43. For over twenty years, Seth worked with Anal Cunt and other projects to keep the extremity in a scene that was rapidly turning into just another commodity for people to sell. The spiritual successor to GG Allin, Seth would get fucked up out of his mind on any combination of drugs and alcohol imaginable, storm on stage, and attack the audience both musically and physically with the sort of fervor nearly unimaginable in a world where Amon Amarth sells bobbleheads and Manowar has condoms emblazoned with their logo. Never compromising, never letting the fans down, and never giving up no matter how hated they were (no, thriving on the negative energy,) Seth Putnam didn't give a fuck about anything in the world apart from going further and harder than anyone else had ever gone before.
Seth obeyed zero rules in his own life or in Anal Cunt. One release might be ass-kicking punk rock, the next might be noisecore, and the one after that could be a set of acoustic tracks about respecting women- it didn't matter, because Seth realized how arbitrary and stupid everything in the world actually was. Moreover, he never apologized for anything he said, publicly spouting some of the most extreme misogyny, racism, and anti-social things that have ever been heard from an extreme musician and never once suggesting that any of them were inauthentic or worthy of being apologized for. Did Seth actually believe in what he said? It doesn't matter, and he knew it didn't matter: all that mattered was the red-hot hatred for everything that drove him in his life and music.
Seth Putnam was one of the last heroes of the true underground. He loved extreme music, extreme culture, and extreme life in a manner few of us will ever be able to understand. Extreme music has been dealt a blow with his death that will take a long while to recover from, whether you think it should or not. Tonight: get drunk, pick a fight, set something on fire, record a demo, throw up, get arrested, pass out in the street, beat your wife, go to a show, or crash your car to pay tribute to one of the last great legends of real extremity."

I can agree with Seth on not seeing shit after death. I had Kidney failure back in 2008. I was found on my kitchen floor not breathing and my eyes were open and lightly grey. My skin was cold and grey too. They managed to stabalize me and I was in a coma for 2 days. Modern medical science kicks ass if they could bring me back from that state. The doctors told me after I woke up from the coma that I was clinically dead. The main point is I either do not remember seeing anything. There was nothing but black. 8 months later they diagnosed me with kidney disease which has sucked ever since. They originally thought my kidney failure was from dehydration and pnuemonia which I did have, but later blood tests revealed I had kidney disease. Meds help, in the short term for it but the side effects suck BIG TIME.
