I liked Paradise Lost...how is this?

toggletoggle post by Spaldino at Jun 11,2011 2:24pm
this album is fucking awesome. its 2 cd's long. and there is just tons of awesome. i might like this better than Paradise Lost.

they've never been like that really... they have always created real music and full on concrete songs... not just full on wank music. i might be so bold as to say that i like this better than The Odyssey (album).

it has the aggression of Paradise Lost and the memorable song writing of their previous efforts. its a very first class release.

been listening to this. it's exactly what I expected out of them. they're all very talented and there's some good sounding songs on this. some of the parts are awesome. the production is great too.. I like the drum production.
still not my cup o'tea as far as style of metal goes, but it is what it is. better than most bands that try to duplicate the style in some regard.

Michael Romeo doesn't get the respect he deserves for the most part. guy is a master shredder and riff technician

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jun 12,2011 2:13pm
didn't he used to write for guitar world or something?

toggletoggle post by Spaldino at Jun 12,2011 2:27pm
no idea. wouldnt surprise me though. the dude is like a Yngwie that actually has FEELING to his solos and shredding as opposed to just seizuring obscure modes and scales just because he can.
