"Sometimes you feel like you really need a beer, but this is kind of ridiculous. A Connecticut man called 911 on Sunday, and when emergency workers arrived at his house, he asked them to go to the store and pick him up some beer, according to police. The Associated Press reports that Raymond Roberge, 65, of Bridgeport, Conn., called 911 three times in hopes of getting a beer delivery.

Police charged him with criminal misuse of the 911 system. It wasn't the first time Roberge has called 911 for less-than-critical reasons, the AP said. Police told the Connecticut Post that Roberge has called the emergency line a total of 79 times. When police went to his house after one of those calls, he offered them $20 to keep him company."
