can't say enough about these amps. 300 is just about the cheapest you'll get a good high gain amp for.

I second that Ultra 120. I just worked on one and Peavey shit rules. Well built and pretty kick ass for metal. You may want to keep an eye out for a VTM 120, but that'll probably be a little more.
