I have a gloss black Schecter Diamond Series Omen-7 Extreme seven string in great shape for sale or swap for a decent jazz guitar.

Specs:

-Construction: Bolt-On
-Available Bodies: Basswood
-Neck: Maple
-Finger Board: Rosewood
-Frets: 24X Jumbo
-Inlay: Dots
-Tuners: Schecter
-Pickups: Schecter Diamond Plus
-Electronics: Vol/Tone (push-pull coil tap)/3-Way Switch
-Bridge: - Tune-O-Matic w/Thru-Body
-Scale: 26.5"
-Hardware: Black

This guitar also lets you pull on the tone knob to use the coil tap function, probably my favorite feature on this guitar. It makes the Schecter Diamond Plus pickups able to produce a range of tones from brutal metal, to screaming lead, to a single coil strat sound, all the way to a nice and warm blues tone.

****Asking $300 since it sold new for $419.99+

***What I'm searching for in a TRADE-- A six string electric of similar value, can produce decent jazz tones, and must be in plug-in-and-play condition.

**I'm not too picky; shoot me an email with what ya got!

Don't wanna be a dick (it'll sound like it though), but between this and that flextone you were trying to pass off as 'rare' you ask way too much money for your shit. For like 2 years straight AMS was blowing out their Omen stock new for cheaper than what you're asking used.

toggletoggle post by BbPguitarist_nli at Apr 8,2011 2:55pm
All I know is that it sold new for well over 400 bucks and I've seen chain
music stores sell them between 340-370 used.
"Asking $300" is a hell of alot different than "$300 firm" ;)
AND I really care more for a trade, so...
How many seven strings (used) can you buy with a stock coil tap?
This isn't some stock RG7321...
Don't you work for Daddys or GC???
You shouldnt be the one talking about "overpriced" merch

Yeah, those sell new for around $350. You don't need to take my word for it, go ebay it.

It's very normal for an owner to have an attachment or inflated sense of worth for their gear. Heck, lookit all the guys on ebay and craiglist think that new pickups or other mods increase their instruments financial value, when in reality it only increases the instrument's worth to THEM.

Short version is, the schecter omen is typically everyone's first 7 string because they sell regularly for around $200-300 used. While $300 is not completely unreasonable, it IS the absolute top price to ask.

As for Jazz guitars, can't go wrong with one of THESE for $269:

I know a guy who has a $6000 custom Gretsch. He picked up one of those douglas guitars and swapped some of the hardware (it had a righty bridge on the lefty model) and he swears it plays and feels better in every way than the gretsch.

Wow, so much awful in that two lines of text.

1) RG's have the higher value. Again, don't argue with me, just ebay it.

2) Coil Tap is a $3 POT and 35 seconds of soldering.

3) Most people will still prefer the stock RG, and the resale prices reflect this quite accurately.

oh and to the EBAY-lovers, add shipping costs, ebay fees, etc.
and YES, some people offer free shipping, we know, we know...

Niccolai was the king, actually. Because even when he's wrong, he can still kick the living shit out of anyone that disagrees with him.

Blue is the queen of gear knowledge. I'm the court jester.

You, you're the potato farmer that gets beheaded for trying to look up the queens skirt.

Niccolai's obsession with LTD's was funny.

correction, LTDs and Crate amps.

proof that if you can kick ass you can get away with anything.

Double correction:

ESP's and Crate Shockwaves. Which I admit, sound very very nice.

I hate ESP because their low end floyds are utter trash, and they hate left handed people.

But the Tokai and Esp stuff is awesome, and the lefty LTD I got to see at the jamspace that Mike from the Red Chord had was nice. His was a red les-paul style guitar, with EMGs in it. It sounded great.

I could have sworn that he had an army of LTDs, not the bigshot ESPs.

I still have an LTD, no trem. Nice guitar. It sits around scorned in a practice space, though.

toggletoggle post by ArrowHeadNLI at Apr 8,2011 4:06pm
I think he bought up a zillion LTDs then traded them in and bought one nice ESP.

He was always an esp fan like I'm now a jackson fan. But he could only afford the LTDs at the time, much like I have one dinky and a zillion cheapo chinese shredders.

gotcha...I may have wandered off by then.

lul, I am in NO position to mock peoples guitar collections. 90% of my collection is chinese.

hey blue, just curious, are you 'brand loyal' or do you have a hoard of 20 different guitars?

Arrowhead: thanks for the jazz guitar suggestion; looks decent for the price

UPDATE!

lowering the price cuz Blue is right:

$200 cash firm.

brand loyalty is for fagz. life is too short to only own one brand of guitar.

and listen to arrowhead (pete), the brands under the rondo umbrella (douglas, agile, sx etc) are amazing for the money.

I'd have no issues being brand loyal.........if I got an endorsement deal.

If you're the guitarist from Abnormality who has a Gary Kramer guitar... ya, I wouldn't turn away an endorsement deal from that brand any day.
Gimme a Kramertorium, Custom I model & R29 Turbulence.

endorsees dont have brand loyalty, they just play one specific brand live.

Which is why I don't trust endorsers. It's bullshit, there's so few people out there endorsing gear because they honestly and truly LOVE that gear.

I mean, C'MON, Dave Mustaine sells fucking COFFEE!

The best endorsement possible is a guy like Jeff Beck, playing the same guitars for decades, whether or NOT he gets paid.

toggletoggle post by Sinistas   at Apr 19,2011 6:53pm
To be fair, the coffee thing wasn't an endorsement. He owned the company.

Jeff Beck plays Les Pauls and Strats, right? I've always liked that he never picked a side.
