Just caught this today, but I guess it's been out for a month. New tune from the upcoming album. Not sure if I like it, they've apparently continued on the path they started down with God's Equation - poppier songs with less prog elements.

guitars sound awesome. Nils K Rue needs to cut out that goddamn shrieky high note he loves so much. It's getting as old as the crappy megaphone/distorted vocals all over their earlier albums. Anyone that was at the show at the Middle East (wren) will likely never forget that god-awful screeeching.

needs more prog.

i liked their last effort. huge fan of their first 3 albums. this seems too straight forward for me. too...poppy... its not horrible but its nothing spectacular.

I will agree to both Aril AND Spaldino's comments. First three albums are great, God's Equation was good but different. I'm hoping this is the "hello spaceboy" of the album, and that the other tunes will be a little stronger. I doubt it though, just reading the comments on the new tune makes me think they're trying to please a different audience these days.

PS - I called it, only two people gave a shit.

I like them but I'm not a huge fan

I love Pagan's Mind, but this song is ho-hum.

Yeah, definitely seems a bit more straightforward than I'd have expected from them.

Arrowhead, do you like Psychotic Waltz?

toggletoggle post by ArrowHeadNLI at Mar 26,2011 1:32pm
YES. I actually just got into PW two days ago, when I was doing my "recommend me a good tech death with clean vocals" thread. They didn't quite fit the requirements, but I loved the music!

They're very good.

Every album sounds different. Missed that thread

I was big into Pagan's Mind a few years ago. I'll have to check this out.
