liking it better so far.

the refresh button is at the end of the address bar which is a little annoying.
Looks like they are making it look more android like.

i think it's the best browser yet but i still don't like the seperate download window, and i don't want to download a plugin to fix it.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 9,2011 10:59am
I use FF for all my browsing except for gmail/gvoice. I have that loaded in chrome with the "offline" option.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 9,2011 11:08am
moving the refresh button is getting really old.

toggletoggle post by porphyria at Mar 9,2011 11:22am
firefox crashed way too much, made the switch to chrome.

enjoying that each tab is still a separate process so if something does crash it doesn't crash the entire application.

I always had stability problems with the old versions of Firefox, I just restarted it every few hours and that seemed to take care of it. Once it started running sluggishly in the slightest, I could tell it was only a matter of time before The Big Crash would take out all of my lovely porn windows.

Gonna try out this 4.0 beta later, I saw it last night, but didn't feel like fucking with it.

I use firefox almost exclusively for downloading multi-part porn archives off restrictive filehosts.

With plug ins it's far better at that than chrome. Although I am a fan of Chrome's seperate process tabs.

the chrome browser runs on it's own virtual machine (it's based on the google OS) which is good and bad, it does use a lot more memory than other browsers in practice. and rev, only F5 is real.

I just downloaded Firefox 4 as well. It's definitely different and from reading the update page, this isn't even the final version of the program so they will be continuing to update this frequently.

The only thing I don't like so far is the tabs being on top of the entire browser.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 9,2011 1:43pm
I want multiple rows or tabs.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 10,2011 2:37pm
eep! don't click tab groups.

I just started using Chrome for all my facebookin'. A fuck of a lot faster especially with that new garbage picture viewer they have. Also, all the same hotkeys as Firefox. Win. Still use Firefox as my main browser, though. I use IE8 for any online banking or bill paying where I don't want to find out the hard way that nobody made sure their site works with anything other than IE.

And of course I only view rttp in Lynx.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 11,2011 9:11am
FF4 messes up a lot of rttp pages.

im not sure what i think about this so far the lack of bottom bar is fucking me up

toggletoggle post by menstrual_sweatpants_disco   at Mar 25,2011 11:35am
Yeah it does that popup. I always look at the status bar when browsing. The popup is a little distracting. I'm seeing if I can get used to it.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 25,2011 11:38am
yeah that pop up thing is exactly what chrome does. I have a feeling they want to merge chrome and ff.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Apr 13,2011 12:06pm
using this now. not too bad. it's going to take some getting used to.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 13,2011 12:12pm
I need to fix the search box in it.

toggletoggle post by sigh at Apr 13,2011 12:13pm
Stopped using FF in favor of chrome when it started taking more than 30 seconds to open the browser on a quad core machine with 4 GB of ram. Is the new version less bloated?

I don't think chrome and FF will be merging anytime soon. They use different rendering engines.

toggletoggle post by arktouros at Apr 13,2011 12:18pm
chrome is still faster from a cold start. i've always had issues using chrome with flash, so i've been sticking to FF4 lately.

toggletoggle post by ArrowHeadNLI at Apr 13,2011 2:02pm
Since I'm STILL rebuilding my fucking virus raped computer, I'm starting this on a fresh install. Haven't tried it yet, but I have it on my usb drive ready to go.
