the double V band was one of the best hip BM bands I've ever seen.
Yeah they were good sounding. Definite WITTR worship and they didn't need 3 guitarists or cool hipster shoes even if they were just trying to be ironic or whatever, but good shit none the less.
that was a lot of fun. i missed VV, but caught all the other bands. first time seeing obsidian tongue. their sound was a lot fuller than i expected from a two piece and their set was enjoyable. shroud delivered the goods as always, and woods was excellent again. it was good to get out and see some people i haven't seen in a while: tony (had short hair last time i saw him), jim-aril, chris f, crazy dan, the rev, and everyone kewl kewl else. can't wait to see novembers doom, gwynnbleidd, and woods in may.
was gonna go to this but decided to get shit hammered at the local bar and avoid an imminent DUI. sorry to miss ya ken! will eventually get around to see Woods. blargh.
